3. Intellivision - It may have had better graphics than than the Atari 2600, but that terrible contraption they called a controller killed any potential it had.

4. Atari 2600 - I know, many gamers are gonna call blasphemy on me since this is the console that really launched the modern-day console industry and many, many genres of games were created on it. But I just find a good majority of it's game library to be too simplistic. And the sound on it is just cringe-worthy bad. Some of the sounds that come out that machine are ungodly. Plus I'm not a big fan of joysticks, especially Atari 2600's stiff-as-a-board joystick.

And you call yourself a gamer? I'm sorry, but you just lost all credibility. Unless you're just trolling for the lulz. Are you?

Not at all. Especially the Intellivision. My dad had one as a kid and I hated the damn thing. That controller, and the stupid cards that went above the remote-controller part were just terrible to use.

And I do own an Atari 2600, but most of the games can only keep my interest for a few minutes at a time. Luckily using a Sega Genesis controller fixes the crappy joystick problem.

Yeah, the Intellivision controller is kinda weird at first, but if you take the time to get used to using it, the games are awesome. And the Atari 2600 is awesome 'cause blocky graphics or no, it has some of the best old-school arcade ports ever made, which was kind of a big deal back then.

Jag AvP was later ported to PC. Only console version.

Verry cool game but time has been kinder to DOOM bc it's 2D graphics mimicking 3D aged well IMO. Jag AvP was an amazing technical achievement though, most PCs would've had trouble running it. It is generally creepy also. The Maze/labryth aspect is rough.

Oh, the Intellivision controller is pretty bad though.

What's quite telling is the fact that the Intellivision plug n play is the only plug n play I've ever seen that doesn't at all resemble the original controller (looks like an SNES gamepad instead). Yeah, they knew it was bad...

I've never played an Atari 5200. And I don't feel right stating an opinion on a system I've only seen video reviews of.

Eh, I may generally disagree with BurningDoom on his labeling the Atari 2600 one of the worst consoles ever, but it does deserve some criticism:

1. No quality control of games, so many are poorly made titles by third parties which only saw video games as a quick fad to make a buck off of.
2. The audio can be atrocious, especially when designed by someone who had no idea how to use it.
3. The joystick isn't that great.
4. Graphics are rudimentary, which may even turn away seasoned retro gamers of the 8-bit or 16-bit eras.

Personally, I like the 2600. But going back it to it something that some folks just can't do. No shame in it.
