I wonder if there will be a run on Famicom games if this sells well since most of them are pretty inexpensive and a lot of those games don't require much language knowledge. Some of them a lot cheaper than their US releases like Mega/Rockman 5.
SHHHHHH dont tell people that. I am eyeballing a couple on Ebay right now and I dont need more competition.

The more I read about this little gizmo, the more I want one, especially since I have to do most of my gaming in a room the size of an office cubicle.

Under $100 would be nice, good to hear. I love the fact it is all those consoles plus you can hook it up to a 16:9 HDMI LCD or 4:3 SD CRT.

Personally I think the black system is gorgeous. Not a huge fan of the gray/purple version though...
For less than $100, you'd be kind of silly not to get it. I'm really excited, and I hope that it can eventually play roms for those impossible to obtain games.

From what I hear, the N64 controller is actually a pretty good clone (better than most at least). Haven't heard much about the other ones yet. Would be interested in hearing what they think.

Not a whole lot of coverage on the RetroN 5 or Retro-Bit stuff. Not that I expected much, but there's only one or two videos up on YouTube. I'd liked to have seen at least a few more... :/
My friends at the show said they only got to play around with the N64 controller. One said it was perfect, the other said that the stick was alittle looser (like a replacement stick) and that it was alittle light. Joystiq agrees with her:

Apparently no one really got to play with the SNES and Genesis ones. As of now I am in for atleast one at a sub $50 price.

onverter, while a more low end clone the RetroGen Adapter could.
I wonder what else they'll add...
If I were to spitball:
Rom loading
Sega CD iso support
TG16/PCE rom support
MAME
Dosbox
XBMC
Online multiplayer via a USB networking card
Online multiplayer via a USB networking card
The guys at tecmobowl.org and nhl94.com would buy it for sure.

Try factory resetting your TV. Use a search engine to find the remote combo, usually something like up on the menu + power on TV.

HDMI ports have auto-read & always on functionality. Good chance resetting might fix it. Or trying switching to the other option.

If all else fails, call Vizio. My 2008 Sony was acting funny, turns out it needed a firmware update. Not being an internet ready TV, they mailed me a USB with update on it.

Hopefully ur issue is software/firmware/setting related.

I'm growing legitimately interested in this. Essentially an emulator box with a bunch of cartridge ports and a bunch of controller ports. What more can we ask for?

Edit: By the way, I tried out Retro-bit's wireless SNES controller first hand. I usually hate third party controllers, but I was legitimately impressed by this one. It felt almost as good as the real thing.
