3DS Eshop Recommendations

Honestly, I barely have time to play the cartridge games for the 3DS that I want to play but I just can't help myself.

What are the must have Eshop games for the 3DS? I'm not counting VC games here, btw.

There are a lot of good games on the eshop, and a good amount can be played in quick sessions. Personally I have:
Gunman Clive, this is an excellent title, and for 2 bucks you cant go wrong. Mega man meets wild west with some awesome graphics.
Pushmo If you like puzzle games, get this!
Mighty SWitch Force (I actually have the Wii u version, but its close enough) very fun puzzle platforming with a good challange.
Bit Trip Saga, I have played the "runner" game in this pack more than any other downloadable game on my system.

Those are just some of the ones I have, but they are all quality titles that you cant go wrong with.

In addition to those I'd recommend Liberation Maiden. It's arcadey style anime shooter thing. Really fun, really cool music, as well as being really short.

Crimson Shroud is supposed to be good as well, though I don't own it myself.

There's also Cave Story if you haven't played it on PC or Wii yet.

Nice thread! I've been looking for some as well. It's a bit overwhelming to search DSi Ware, VC, & 3DS download eShop games.

There seemed to be some decent RPGs I stumbled across.

The 3DS store needs a major redesign if you ask me. It is very slow and it's a pain to look for stuff.

Anyway, Pullblox is an amazing puzzle game, and I really liked Gunman Clive too (as others have said it's Megaman in the wild west.....a wild west as envisioned in the Wild Wild West film, though thankfully this game doesn't suck).

There are 2 picross games on it that are worth their asking price imo. That's what I've got for now. I also bought a DSi game which just wasn't as good, but I don't remember its name right now.

That's a big part of the reason I made this thread - the eshop is a pain to navigate and is poorly organized.

I knew there had to be some gems hidden in there someplace but finding them was challenging...

TELL ME ABOUT IT. I mean WTF Sony. The old design was working WONDERS for me. Everything was spread into quick to navigate menus, it was designed to host a vast catalog of software, I could check the latest stuff right away, the special offers, but I could just go through the pages randomly browsing, which led to some impulse purchases.

The only thing the new design does better is its search function, but that means I can only find easily what I KNOW I want. Baaaaaaaaaaaad.



I really don't understand why console manufactures fail to do something apple and google have managed on MUCH WEAKER HARDWARE. (design a fast responding app market application)

I agree with the comments about the PSN store redesign. It's so laggy and hard to navigate that I simply don't go on to buy stuff now. The 3DS store is brutal to navigate, but at least it's responsive.

I'd have to say the only thing the PS Store does well now is how some of it's sounds remind of the Dreamcast BIOS menu.
