Yup. This thing is a curiosity, nothing more. Should have taken the $7,000 and called it a day.
Now a real prototype Neptune, I feel like that is something that would go for a crazy price. This is a Saturn with a modem that nothing uses, which is far less interesting in my mind.
NetLink still works because it is a direct land line to land line call. You can still play Duke Nukem, Virtual On, Bomber Man, & Sega Rally.

Get two Net Links for under $100 :). I don't have a land line though. Ha!

Seriously... $7k is just dumb.

It works... just the flip tops hinges are broken. Might be fixable, who knows. Unless this guy gets his head out of the clouds and tries to offer it up for a real attainable price nobody will find out.

It's going for 5900$. A 700000% investment return (game gravel auction) would have made me sell right away, but apparently this guy thinks he deserves to get enough money to buy a new house with this. The sad part is that with 4 days left to go, and this being on ebay, he will probably get a lot more money this time around.

i mean, that's fine, he can get what he wants out of it if someone is willing to pay for it. i don't think there's anything wrong with that. i just think the guy is obviously a total dumbass who seems to know fuck-all about gaming in general who just happened to get lucky. that's what irritates me about it, but i recognize that it's probably rooted in just petty jealousy. i'd LOVE to get $7000 for a saturn i bought for a fucking dollar.

We're at 8,200 now, surpassing the high bid on Game Gavel, guess I was wrong about him not finding a higher bidder here. Reserve is still not met though. Maybe he really is trying to sell it for over 10 grand?

Would be funny if his reserve is actually $10,000 and the final bid ends up being like $9,950 or something like that and he just wastes a ton of his own time.

Another "Gamer" vs. "Collector" issue. I wouldn't pay $100usd for that system.

Well, unless someone would buy it from me for 10k.
