It has been my experience time and again that Fire Emblem games do not depreciate in the aftermarket. That is to say, used copies are nearly universally more expensive then they were at original retail prices. I would advise anyone interested in the new 3DS Fire Emblem to go ahead and buy it now. If you wait for cheap used copies you will be disappointed. Buying it for $39.99 will seem a steal in comparison and you will kick yourself in hindsighted regret.

As for Xenoblade I already knew how that would go, so I pre-ordered it from Nintendo and got my copy day one for original retail price. I was right about its aftermarket prices. That's why I bought Fire Emblem Awakening day one also. It's going to be the same story soon enough, you will see.

Saw 1 copy at Wal Mart in Houston area. Didn't get it. Got lucky & ordered one on eBay for MSRP. It'll spike soon. I expect the same for Etrain Odyssey IV.

I don't know why people are buying fire Emblem Awakening for more than retail from amazon when you can get it online through most retailers for 39.99. I have the game. I just opened it for the club nintendo code. I'll play it later.
