And if you haven't, you should be more than strong enough on your third trip to take him down during those early oppurtunities, so it's still not TOO much extra.MrPopo wrote:
Then you have the New Game+ endings. If you sufficiently powered up in your first playthrough then you can get all of these on the second playthrough by saving right before each time you go fight Lavos.

Now that I'm done with Uncharted (which I quite enjoyed after getting over the initial "this is not the kind of game thought it was" shock), I think I'm going to try getting back into Kingdom Hearts tonight. Looking at the guide I picked up a while ago, I'm pretty sure I stopped right before heading to Atlantica (looks to be about the halfway point. Of course...). I enjoyed what I played of it before, I just ended up getting distracted by other things. After beating a shooter I've been in an RPG mood, so I'm looking forward to finishing this one off

Imported SMT: Strange Journey and like it very much so far. I very rarely like RPG's, but this might get a good grasp of me. I think it's because the gameplay starts pretty quick and intensively and the story stuff is bit more interesting than average JRPG. Artstyle and music are tasteful as well.
Before looking bit into it I was expecting much more cheery, VN-ish, high school simulation thing, but that was probably mix up with Persona franchise. It seems these franchises really shouldn't be clumped together, I guess.
Was going for Nocture first, but being more classic dungeon crawler experience (I believe), this seemed bit more interesting for first SMT game. Really like that confined and raw feel of it. Of course being handheld game dictated the choice as well.

My new years resolution is to finally play through the Xenosaga series on the PS2. I just finished with Xenosaga Episode II Jenseits von Gut und Böse. The battle system of stocking for everything and how you get skills must be an acquired taste. I understand the system but it made everything drawn out. The story on Jr. and Momo I thought was well done. I normally play epilogues but in this case I belive that I will pass on this.

Playing Phantasy Star IV on PS2 on Sega Collection. Great picture, awesome sound, seamless saving. I own a Genesis, just not this cart. AWESOME GAME. 2/3 way through.

Yes. Do 'em back to back - they're great games, massively underrated.Ack wrote:Hey, do you guys suggest I play through Breath of Fire before trying Breath of Fire 2?

You must play one, if not because it is an excellent game, then because you will enjoy the character Gobi.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Yes. Do 'em back to back - they're great games, massively underrated.Ack wrote:Hey, do you guys suggest I play through Breath of Fire before trying Breath of Fire 2?

Well, I guess I will add it to the list of SNES RPGs I should really take the time to enjoy. So of what I own that's been recommended to me, that's 7th Saga, Breath of Fire, Chrono Trigger, Drakkhen...I'm glad nobody has told me to go play Eye of the Beholder yet.
