I'm using a oXbox controller fitted w/ a usb dongle and the homemade XBox Controller Driver and it works flawlessly for everything I've thrown at it, cept when the game wont cooperate, arg. But yeah, the driver download did no include To-Keyboard emulator. I haven't searched the web yet (I've been bouncing around all day with work and errands and crap) but I definitely will.Hobie-wan wrote:Depending on the maker of the stick it might have one that came with it. My old Logitech pad came with mapping software. I'm using the last free version of XPadder to let me use a 360 pad for The Binding of Isaac. I'm not sure how much it costs for an up to date version.
@Popo
And yea I hear ya about the joystick support deal. I didn't even know it did until I searched around and discovered that you have to open the ..System/Default.cfg file and make UseJoystick=False say UseJoystick=True. The cool thing was forward/back/strafing was its initial setup. Unlike Quake which initially had the stick set for forward/back/turning but like I said above I was able to straighten that out.
Thanks for all the help the help thus far guys! Now if anyone knows how to make the game obey all the configuration files...
Lemme tell yaz, navigating "Halo style" with the controller stick and aiming w/ the mouse is the bees knees. Deus Ex just doesn't seem to want me to eliminate the keyboard.
