Holy crap! MS and Square-Enix just dropped the MEGATON!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

You sure showed us.

As for the whole console buisiness, I want to see Sony leave the market alltogether because things just haven't been the same since the PS2 was launched. Systems are all of a sudden media centers and people are concerned about the system's media's viabillity as a video disk. And the funny thing is, although Sony's influence sparked most of the changes in the industry, everything they changed is done better by Microsoft and the Xbox.

MS has a system that not only has a rock-solid lineup that proves its worth as a gaming console, but they also use the same system to offer the best multimedia experience for the video/music enthusiests out there. I'm 100% sure the Xbox is the future of gaming in the US.

Thats a total crock, if it's one thing the PS3 does better than the 360 it's in it's media capabilities - the whole thing is much more streamlined and easy to use. For instance, when Microsoft announced that you were able to stream video to the 360, I was really excited - however, this excitement soon dwindled when I discovered that no matter what I did, or what Microsoft support suggested, I couldn't get it to work - despite everything being set up correctly, my 360 would not find the media server to stream from and all Microsoft support had to offer me was a replacement console. The day I bought my PS3 I plugged it in and started screwing around with the settings, I notice an icon named 'Search for media servers' and upon pressing it discovered that the PS3 could already connect to my PC without any tweaking or troubleshooting - from that point on i've been copying movies (MP4, DivX, Xvid) and music wirelessly to the PS3's super-large (and super-cheap) 250gb HDD, while my 360 is still unable to connect to the same Windows Media 10 media server than the PS3 has had zero trouble connecting to since day one.

My PS3's become indespensible as a media center to me - it's filled with every episode of South Park & Family Guy, full seasons of some of my favourite sitcoms like Red Dwarf & the IT Crowd, over 20 different movies and a crap load of anime. When i'm at work the PS3 is at home, running Linux and downloading film & tv shows via Torrents that i'll then be able to watch later on the main PS3 XMB, or it's streaming videos and music stored on the PS3 HDD wirelesley to my PSP when i'm on my lunch break thanks to the awesomeness that is remote-play, it's one of the best blu-ray players on the market and finally, the BBC iPlayer works like a charm through the PS3's internet browser. I really couldn't do without it, if my PS3 ever broke down i'd go back to using my old modified Original Xbox as a media-center, it's capabilities far outstretch that of the 360.

Great though, you know what this means to PS3 fans like myself, we get a shorter, less attractive game due to YOU XBOTS DVD FORMAT!!!
You of all people have no right to call anyone "Xbots". You can't say you don't care about FF and then make stupid accusations about it being "watered down".
fanboy anger is generally the weather vain of truth.. if you see a PS3 fanboy.. or a 360, or wii ect.. get worked up over something.. it means it's probably going to rock pretty hard.. or at least they think it will.

I guess that was the wrong generalization to make, sorry. If I'm mistaken about the two systems don't flame me, because I don't own a PS3, I can only go by what I hear. However, I have seen no game that makes me want to buy one that hasn't already been ported to the 360, and no console feature on it that I feel I need. I can only assume that it isn't the system I'd get if given the decision between that or 360.

The 360 is a GOOD multimedia player, on top of being a great game system. I think most of us can agree on that.

No we can't. You make it sound as if the PS3 has not one good exclusive game out so far which is ridiculously false. I mean it's got Resistance, MGS4, Uncharted, Warhawk, and probably several others I'm forgetting. If none of those games float your boat....then...you only like RPG's. That is the area where the PS3 is currently lacking. I'm hoping that Valkryia Chronicles will fill that void eventually. Plus let's not forget that FF Versus XIII is still an exclusive to PS3.
Somebody sell me a model 1 modchip for Saturn. Please.

You have to wonder though, how long will FF Versus XIII remain PS3 only? Nobody thought FFXIII would go multi-platform, but it happened. Like I said before, no third-party game is safe at this point.

In an interview on Kitase's blog i beleive after the announcement of FFXIII going multi, he responded that no it would not. SO considering he said no...after it was announced that FFXIII would be...I'm gonna go with...it's gonna be exclusive.

Without getting into too many details, it should be obvious by now that nothing is a confirmed exclusive for anything. If you have a machine with a massive install base, and some money to throw around, you can get what you want. Not like that's a bad thing, but I'm just saying....a good dozen games this generation were confirmed exclusives, but that didn't turn out to be the case. Didn't UT3 just hit 360 last week? How many times did Epic lie to our faces on that one? Stop trusting these companies. You should be treating them with as much suspicion as your government, except in this case, game developers only fuck you half the time.

All I'm saying, talk is cheap at this stage in the game. I can't count how many times developers stated their games as being exclusive, only to announce them for 360 later. I know you're a PS3 proponent, but it might just be a tad naive at this point to believe these statements wholeheartedly.

 I was talking about the sentance you were quoting. I said that the PS3 wasn't the system for ME (I clearly stated that) and that we could agree that the 360 is a great system with good multimedia. Nowhere did I say we should agree that the PS3 is lacking good games. I said it lacks good games that I want. Read my posts more carefully so I don't have to come back and further explain myself.

As for the whole exclusive thing, nobody gets screwed by game developers when they decide to go multiplatform except the console makers. That is, unless you're one of those people who decided to get a PS3 and only a PS3, and actually get mad when your neighbor with the 360 can play the same games as you, or the other way around.

Simply put: fanboys.
