Re: Sega Saturn game sugestions?
Yeah, I said that. I mean, I guess I would argue that a lot of the games on this list aren't that good, while the ones that are good are mostly more readily available on other systems. As far as I know, Bubble Bobble isn't really a side scroller, and while Princess Crown technically is, it's not really relevant as one, especially for someone who wants something like Sonic or Rocket Knight Adventures.pepharytheworm wrote:If you want side scroller platformers you got:
Clockwork Knight
Clockwork Knight 2
Earthworm Jim 2
Elevator Action Returns
Gex
Johnny Bazookatone
Keio Flying Squadron 2
Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku
Mega Man X4
Pandemonium!
Rayman
Princess Crown
Skeleton Warriors
Sonic Jam
3 Wonders (one of the games on it is)
Bubble Bobble also featuring Rainbow Islands
Astal
Liquid Kids
Mega Man 8: Anniversary Edition
Mega Man X3
Shinobi Legions (the JP version is better)
Shinrei Jusatsushi Taroumaru
Hissatsu!
Super Tempo
Here's only some
Now who said side-scroller platformers aren't the Saturn's strong suit?

Re: Sega Saturn game sugestions?
I know Bubble Bobble isn't but Rainbow Island does scroll up. Out of the consoles out during that generation Saturn was definatly the leader in side-scrollers. Of course if you love side-scrollers the NES, SNES and GENS are better choices.fingersmaloy wrote:Yeah, I said that. To me the Saturn had 3 "strong suits" 2D fighters, side-scrollers, and arcade games (this includes Shmups).

Re: Sega Saturn game sugestions?
thanks to this topic, I picked up clockwork knight 2, johnny bazookatone, and assault suit leynos 2. Of the three, I'd say I'll be playing assault suit leynos the most, with clockwork knight 2 a close second.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

I have to agree, to be honest. I really liked the Saturn Shinobi game. TOTAL fun. Yeah, the digitized graphics are maybe a bit cheesy, but who cares? It's totally playable, controls great and... I LIKE how it looks. I also love the emphasis on sword play.dreamcast4ever83 wrote:shin obi legions freakin rocks! Why isn't Mega Man X4 on the list???? Mega Man X3 and 8 are on it, and X4 is better than both of them. (opps, it is on the list. Just... not in ABC order)
