You're probably right actually.
...hope that doesn't ruin the point I was trying to make. I'm kinda bad at these poly-ticks discussions.
Let's fight back against the NDAA
Re: Let's fight back against the NDAA
Of course they did. Democrats and Republicans are both authoritarian parties. The only real difference between the two is which group of corporations they supplicate themselves to the most. If you ever expect things to change for the better, if you care about freedom, the most important thing is to break the two party (one party really) hegemony. Vote third party this year, it's our only chance.

Re: Let's fight back against the NDAA
The problem you have is only about ~20% of voters actually make a decision after the candidates are set. Third parties are doomed from the get go.Hatta wrote:Of course they did. This is why I don't vote.MrPopo wrote:Third parties are doomed from the get go.
Re: Let's fight back against the NDAA
Third parties still have an impact, even if we'll never get someone in office. Vote local, folks. Vote local. The presidential race isn't the only race we have. We need grassroots effort to break up the mega-parties, but it won't start at the White House, it'll start in your state Senate or House. It starts with mayors and governors. That's where it starts.

or are you pretending to be crazy? I don't get it. >_>
So, folks who disagree w/you are crazy? Once again - zuzu's opinion is fact. I see.
Re: Let's fight back against the NDAA
People who think it's perfectly OK for the military to be able to jail any American citizen that they want, without a trial are very crazy to me. I think you are just choosing to disagree on purpose. If you seriously are in favor of this law, go ahead and tell us.mjmjr25 wrote:No.Inazuma wrote:Is this supposed to be a joke.mjmjr25 wrote:For sake of fairness, do you have a link for those of us who would like to support the new law?

Re: Let's fight back against the NDAA
I'll agree with this. The national election is going to be on a two party system for as long as any of us will be alive. If Teddy Roosevelt couldn't get elected as a third party then no one can. But local elections are another story. There people actually pay attention to the candidate, rather than the party affiliation.o.pwuaioc wrote:Third parties still have an impact, even if we'll never get someone in office. Bolded for emphasis. I'm not commenting on either your stance or mjmjr25's, but Inazuma, you have to stop thinking that your perception is the only correct one. Because if you think that then you're exactly the same as a religious fundamentalist.Inazuma wrote:People who think it's perfectly OK for the military to be able to jail any American citizen that they want, without a trial are very crazy to me.
