My mid range AMD Dual core system chugs hard on Sonic Generations, it's the first game I've tried that didn't run perfectly and much better than the 360 version. Hopefully they will patch it later, but as of right now I have the game running at 640x480 with all settings set to low or off and it still drops below 20FPS at times.
Hmmm. I've got an AMD A8-3500M (low end quad core but no hyper threading), Radeon 6620G, and 6GB RAM. I can run Skyrim quite smoothly on high settings (with AA turned off) at 1080p.
I can overclock the quad core to about 2.4GHz without any overheating or stability issues. Not sure if it's worth a shot. Perhaps I'll just go for the PS3 version.
Edit: Did a little reading on PC forums. Seems that it may be a rather poor port especially if you don't have a higher end machine.
