Good grief, why? US games are usually way more expensive and a LOT of great games never made it out of Japan. Why limit yourself???

i check out the JP games some are done in english (like fighting viper and die hard trilogy)but man i wish i knew Japanese and how to translate games so some of this stuff like lunar or castlevania could be translated

Yeah, I must say, if I couldn't play jp Saturn games, I would not own a Saturn... and I own 2, both hooked up to different tvs.

Its all about importing when it comes to the Saturn, imo. Plus, its one of the easiest consoles to import for.

Translate castlevania? Totally unnecessary. I beat that game at 16-17 when it came out without knowing a lick of japanese.

it bugs the hell out of me playing a game i cant read lol just a pet peve i could also play the lunar games from memory as well but nothing drives me more crazy than not being able to read or understand what is going on in front of me

on a side note the saturn JP version of lunar seems EXACTLY the same as the PS1 version from what i have played GFX wise and every thing with that being said i wonder how exactly they put it on 1 cd on the saturn and on the PS1 it has 2 discs...... only thing i can think of is add'd FMV scenes or something, and both of these versions of the game blow the sega CD version of lunar out of the water man was that game kind of an eye sore lol

if i couldnt of modded my saturn to play burned discs i wouldnt of bought one as finding saturn games complete other then on ebay and amazon is almost impossible. racketboy sells a mod chip, you should do it it only takes like two solder points.

Well, one reason is I own a MAME arcade cab so I pretty much have the shmups covered. That limits the jp library quite a bit and even for other systems I never buy NTSC-J games.

As far as the money goes I bought it as a lot which consisted of 2 fight sticks, 1 flight stick, 1 steering wheel, 2 ext cords, 2 Saturn 8 button pads, 1 Sega Stunner NIB, 1 Saturn "model 2", 39 complete games (no scratched discs or cracked/broken cases), 13 NIB games

ALL FOR $254.00 so basically I paid $4.88 per game everything else was free

I then added a mod chip from racketboy which was around $25.00? So let's say I paid around $280.00 that's $5.88 per game. Also There was no sports games ie: football, basketball...etc etc.

Funny thing is when I got the lot and opened it up there was a NIB Sega CD game so I contacted the seller from ebay and requested to send it back for another Saturn game NIB he said "You got a great deal" So I said it's not what I paid for and I don't own a Sega CD system.

He gave in and told me to keep it, he then sent me 2 NIB Sega CD games??? and Pebble Beach Golf :( So I gave away the 3 Sega CD games to a Youtube Sub of my channel.

When I buy games I either get them NIB or pay around $2.00 per game through ebay.

I bought the whole Namco Museum Collection on PS1 MINT!!!! For $11.00 with free shipping I even got both Mega Man Legends games for $5.00 ea, MML2 was NIB. Dude was mad as hell  If he wanted big bucks he should have put a reserve or a Buy it Now price on it. (this Mege Man Legends 2 game was the only problem I ever had on ebay)

All from ebay! Sometimes you just gotta wait untill there are multiple sales of the same game ending around the same time. Always bid late and always bid on something that has no bids so you do get it cheap and if you bid on something & there was no bids, then all of a sudden it's getting bids never go past your price.

It's always worked for me. So price is what you are willing to pay or how long you will shop for a great deal as opposed to settling for what a seller wants or what another buyer is willing to pay.

found these posts on the above listed situation:

Though it should be noted that Panzer Dragoon Saga can be booted if you enter a Master Key into the Action Replay. I think it was, ironically, actually implemented anti-cheat protection, though that had the side-effect of making the game unbootable with the 4in1 without a code.

I think it was just an anti-import method, not anti-cheat. Surely Andromeda wouldn't be that stupid to implement an anti-cheat cart code that can be knocked out with a cheat cart.
