Good grief, why? US games are usually way more expensive and a LOT of great games never made it out of Japan. Why limit yourself???
Well, one reason is I own a MAME arcade cab so I pretty much have the shmups covered. That limits the jp library quite a bit and even for other systems I never buy NTSC-J games.
As far as the money goes I bought it as a lot which consisted of 2 fight sticks, 1 flight stick, 1 steering wheel, 2 ext cords, 2 Saturn 8 button pads, 1 Sega Stunner NIB, 1 Saturn "model 2", 39 complete games (no scratched discs or cracked/broken cases), 13 NIB games
ALL FOR $254.00 so basically I paid $4.88 per game everything else was free
I then added a mod chip from racketboy which was around $25.00? So let's say I paid around $280.00 that's $5.88 per game. Also There was no sports games ie: football, basketball...etc etc.
Funny thing is when I got the lot and opened it up there was a NIB Sega CD game so I contacted the seller from ebay and requested to send it back for another Saturn game NIB he said "You got a great deal" So I said it's not what I paid for and I don't own a Sega CD system.
He gave in and told me to keep it, he then sent me 2 NIB Sega CD games??? and Pebble Beach Golf

So I gave away the 3 Sega CD games to a Youtube Sub of my channel.
When I buy games I either get them NIB or pay around $2.00 per game through ebay.
I bought the whole Namco Museum Collection on PS1 MINT!!!! For $11.00 with free shipping I even got both Mega Man Legends games for $5.00 ea, MML2 was NIB. Dude was mad as hell

If he wanted big bucks he should have put a reserve or a Buy it Now price on it. (this Mege Man Legends 2 game was the only problem I ever had on ebay)
All from ebay! Sometimes you just gotta wait untill there are multiple sales of the same game ending around the same time. Always bid late and always bid on something that has no bids so you do get it cheap and if you bid on something & there was no bids, then all of a sudden it's getting bids never go past your price.
It's always worked for me. So price is what you are willing to pay or how long you will shop for a great deal as opposed to settling for what a seller wants or what another buyer is willing to pay.
