I like to play Civilization 3 or 4 when I'm not feeling well, since it's turn-based. No need for reflexes or acting immediately.

I used to play Beatmania when sick. And yes, I'm aware it must be the worst choice ever if you are sick.
When I'm a bit saner I play OpenTTD. Relaxed, slow, fun. A good pick.

RPGs for me too. Playing Shining Force III while sick sounds really good to me. >_>

Its been a long time since I felt ill enough to not be able to do the stuff I'd normally do anyway. Even if I was genuinely too sick to go to work or uni or whatever, I'd not do anything special at home.

When you are sick, you should play a game that tries to pull at your heart strings. Cut scenes that seem that seem a little cheesy normally can be tear-inducing when you are out of your head with a fever.
True story: A few years ago, I helped some neighbors move some mulch that had accumulated in their back yard. (They had a large delivery several months earlier and had not used all of it; so, my wife and I were taking off their hands and using it in our yard.) Anyway, as I proceeded to move the mulch, we noticed that mold was growing on some of the mulch at the bottom of the pile. Being an idiot, I disregarded the mold and moved the mulch anyway.
The next day, I had a moderate to high fever that I now realize was likely low-level toxic mold syndrome. Since I was ill, I took the day off of work and - when I got bored lying in bed - decided to continue my game of Beyond Good and Evil. I reached the point where

I work with kids, so I get sick more often than I used to.
Took last Monday off, played Radiant Historia all day. Nice and slow RPG, everything is turned based. Beat the game!

Re: Favorite Games to Play when Sick
I have high tolerance, so I don't exactly get sick, as much as they don't let me go to school or work.
So I usually sit home and play games, usually something not flashy so I can avoid headaches. Other than that its not really different from any other day off.
Oh, and I have high tolerance for almost everything, so 3 shots of morphine and I'm not even slightly off. That was an interesting hospital visit...

Re: Favorite Games to Play when Sick
I haven't had the luxury of being sick and staying home from work in a few years. I've been sick but at work.
Thanks everyone...
