One thing you're going to have to get used to here on Racketboy is that except for myself and 2 or 3 other people, everyone here hates The Twin Snakes. If you search the forums, I'm sure you could find at least 3 threads in which we argue over TTS.Stark wrote:I didn't see any issues with Twin Snakes myself, I liked the remake. Re: METAL GEAR SOLID (HD remakes)
I've played and beaten both MGS and TTS and other than graphically and sound recording what's different? If anything TTS should have an edge over MGS because of the updated graphics.BoringSupreez wrote: One thing you're going to have to get used to here on Racketboy is that except for myself and 2 or 3 other people, everyone here hates The Twin Snakes. EDIT: I'd be curious to hear from someone that liked MGS, but not TTS...I mean if you hate the game that's fine, but I can't imagine liking one and not the other.

Re: METAL GEAR SOLID (HD remakes)
The added MGS2 moves make most of the boss fights pathetically easy (ESPECIALLY the first one with Ocelot.)
The cutscenes were excessive and over the top, even by the standards of the franchise.
The voice acting performances (and minor script changes) are arguably inferior to the original.
That's the gist of what people dislike about TTS.

Even though I love TTS I have to agree with this. The first time I beat the game my arm and hand were in a cast and I still had no problem.AppleQueso wrote:The added MGS2 moves make most of the boss fights pathetically easy (ESPECIALLY the first one with Ocelot.)

Re: METAL GEAR SOLID (HD remakes)
I just read the Joystiq article Noise quoted (which can be found here). It has a picture of the trophy icons for MGS2 and 3, and I suddenly realized: MGS2, which is a 10-year-old PS2 game, will have trophies while MGS4, developed for the PS3, still won't. That's messed up.

Hmm that's interesting. I have terrible memory, I liked em both and was just excited to have (what I thought was) a port with updated graphics.Xeogred wrote:You forgot the key one for me: different OST.AppleQueso wrote:[Why TTS is stinky]

It's a win-win situation...Droid party wrote:I just moved into a new place and my girlfriend has said that I can turn the spare room into my game room (her idea, not mine=awesome) and all this talk about the older mgs games is making me itch to get it set and bust out the ps2 to play the shit out of these bad boys.
