What are you talking about? All of your description just now actually applies more to anime in Japanese than it does in English. Haven't you noticed how there's only really like 7 different voice types in japanese anime? Very rarely do I hear japanese acting that's convincing. It's all so freaking monotone, and never seems to change in pitch unless it's a battle cry or something, and even then it sounds like a simple cut and paste job. There's a lot of dubs that provided superior acting than the original version has.

It's true!! There are like 10 guys and 2 girls in Japan raking it in for all the voice acting jobs!!!

My favorite overdub on a movie of all time is actually the Spanish version of Homeward Bound. The Micheal J. Fox dog character was played my some 40 year old guy trying to sound like and excitable 10 year old. I only know this because I was forced to watch it in Spanish class like 13 years ago. I can't belive I still remember that.....it was that "good."

To note, I never said that I could do a better job dubbing, and that's a flawed argument against criticism anyway, so it's a moot point. I'm merely noting that the acting in that particular clip you posted is gut-bustingly, hilariously, bad. Are you, say, deaf, or something? Or ten? Still floored by the voice acting in those new-fangled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
