Finally a logical approach! Makes sense, too bad they wont consider selling it on a physical medium though.fastbilly1 wrote:Again, Nintendo has a cap on Wiiware game sizes that is far lower than that of XBLA or PSN. Correct me if I am wrong, but Scott Pilgrim is a 180 meg game, and the Wiis internal memory is 512 with something like 490 open to enduser. I think the cap is 40 megs on Wiiware, so without some major changes, it couldnt happen. End of story. Its not a "Wii doesnt have the market" issue it is simply a different kind of numbers game.

You all can hate on Wiiware all you want but I honestly think the rebirth titles from Konami are some of the strong games out of the three options on consoles.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Overclocked Game Cube with Motion Controls would be more accurate.emwearz wrote:Gamecube with motion controls?

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs Wii
This is why there is a lot of crap games on the Wii. Because of the cap on WiiWare too many smaller games get ported to disc.fastbilly1 wrote:Again, Nintendo has a cap on Wiiware game sizes that is far lower than that of XBLA or PSN. Don't get me wrong I would by the Scott Pilgrim game on disc because of the game and replay value... but too many other games - Im talking to you the game that would have been a great WiiWare game but instead is a crappy disc game Mr. Monkey King!

The wii is a poorly designed console for reasons such as this.fastbilly1 wrote:Again, Nintendo has a cap on Wiiware game sizes that is far lower than that of XBLA or PSN. I am fine with this. I would rather scott pilgrim be a disc based game anyway. To me downloadable only games should just be simple diversion games that you forget about.AppleQueso wrote:The wii is a poorly designed console for reasons such as this.fastbilly1 wrote:Again, Nintendo has a cap on Wiiware game sizes that is far lower than that of XBLA or PSN. Re: Scott Pilgrim vs Wii
I'd prefer Scott Pilgrim to be a disc-based game too (complete with an art book and OST CD), but forcing a game to be a disc-based game is not a good idea. Not everyone has the money to just throw away on a risky idea like that.pepharytheworm wrote: I am fine with this. I would rather scott pilgrim be a disc based game anyway. It's a great value at $10, but I doubt many out there are going to be willing to jump on it for the $30-60 it would sell for at retail - especially not when it's competing with games like Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros Wii, etc.
