yup, i hate what Lebron is doing to his "hometown". it will be nicer and sweeter to win a championship to your hometown than anywhere else. i'm going to call him a moron and a coward (and of course a cry baby) for skipping out on cleveland if that happens.Metal Militia wrote:SpaceBooger wrote:I am not excited...
But, as a Cleveland fan (of all sports) if LeBron leaves I will be prepared. See Carlos Boozer, CC Sabathia, Cliff Lee, The Fumble, The Drive, and The Shot.
Also, with LeBron not deciding either way, he is hurting the Cleveland Cavs. No one will sign as a Free Agent or to coach until they know if LeBron will or will not be part of the team next year... and by the time he makes his decision after all his meetings it may be too late to sign anyone else (to join or replace him.)
The only bright side to LeBron leaving is that my old season ticket seats will go back to the $10 instead of $35 a game per seat and I can afford them again.
Yeah, I actually feel bad for Cleveland. I watch ESPN all the time and all they talk about is Lebron going to New York, Chicago, Miami, or New Jersey. They rarley talk in Cleveland. I think it is going to be difficult for Lebron to resign with Cleveland because they don't have any salary to spend on other free agents to make the team around him better. You could always sign and trade players like Mo Williams or Antwan Jamison though.
The one team that scares me is the Miami Heat. They have the most money to spend on free agency and I believe it is guaranteed that Dwayne Wade will re-sign with them. Now I see Dwayne Wade recruiting other players to play for Miami. I heard that last weekend Wade, Bosh, and Lebron had dinner in Miami to talk about possibly all three of them playing in Miami. If that happens, that would suck for the rest of the eastern conference.
and yes i also heard the rumor of the trio of wade, bosh and james in miami. bleh.
