Jag, you got some amazing taste there. I salivate just looking at that.

I tried to get donuts this morning, but they're keeping the doors locked. We have to order online, and they will put our order on a table out front. Meanwhile, the grocery store is limiting how many cans of beans, sardines, and other staples we can buy at a single time. Still seeing them run through things like eggs, soaps, and surprisingly, carbonated water. Oatmeal is totally gone. I bought poptarts for breakfast next week because thankfully they had a few left.

So, Missouri just enacted the "Stay At Home" Order.
And I'm a little lost.

I'm assuming that nothing really changes because everybody has already been doing it.

I work at a Hospital, so it's not like that can close down.
I also process and deal with money, so I can't exactly work from home rather easily.
However, I don't deal with patients, so I don't know.

Can I still drive around?
Can I still buy groceries??
Can I still go over to my friend's houses to play video/board games??

Your work will probably contact you about what's going on with your job. If not, I'd call them before your next shift.

Can you still buy groceries? Yes.
Can you drive around? Can you still go over to your friend's houses to play video/board games? You're asked to stay home except for essential activities such as getting food and medical supplies.

Some of them vary by state to state, but it generally means that you should stay at home and away from other people as much as possible.

1) Yes, and go to work, or for walks, runs, hikes, etc. Just don't get to close to people.
2) You gotta eat, so yes. You'll likely also be able to go pick up food from restaurants, assuming they can still put together to-go orders.
3) That would fall under the 'stay away from other people' portion of the Order, so no. I mean, I'm not sure if they can force you to not go over to your friends house, but I wouldn't.

Since I got back home I have been doing my best to follow NotLuke's advice - he's the first to suggest something I had not considered. I've been contacting everyone I'm close to and using my best sanitization skills getting what people need to them. Stores are open and filled with scared people. I can, as I have always done, make everything better.

So three states, mine included, in Australia have closed all 'non-essential' businesses for the next 6 months. If it is not a supermarket, bank, petrol station, post office ,etc. It is illegal for them to operate.

It is the right call, but everyone related to hospitality, retail, etc, are out of work. Unsure times for those people will only get more unsure.

I just saw Dallas joined the club. I expect Houston to follow with an announcement tomorrow.

... this is getting strange quick. That's coming from someone who has been through 3 hurricane disaster scenarios.

It’s not that strange if you are watching the numbers and projections. For Ohio, this move will hopefully ensure there’s enough hospital beds and ventilators available at all times to avoid folks dying for lack of access to life-saving care. But it also means we’ll be under this order until we’ll after April 6...

Yeah was referring more to strange climate in general vs actions being taken.
