Off the top of my head, he was in the other baby sitting movie, adventures in babysitting and in the movie hiding out with the Mathew broderick lookalike from two and a half men lol.

Had to look it up. You have a good memory he was in Adventures. Also apparently David Duchovny was in Don't Tell Mom which I don't recall. Ha!

Ahhh, the baseball uniform rings a bell. Taking a look at her IMDB, she was in Free Willy also.

Forgot she was the goth roommate in Urban Legend. That's a guilty pleasure teen scream for me. Seems to be when she got back into horror before fully embracing the "scream queen" path.

She really added to the Zombie Halloween "remakes" & Stake Land. Great in those. I can recommend them although H2 catches a lot of flack. Stake Land is one of my favorite under the radar horror movies. Hatchet 2 & 3 still on my list, but heard good things.

Really @ Jumanji!? The trailer looked so bad to me.

Urban Legend was absolutely fun.

I hated RZ's Halloween 2 in the theater. The director's cut turned me around, though. It becomes a much better film that way. And I mean, it's not really an easy one to watch. But as a pure commentary on PTSD, it makes for a really unique watch. I mean it's something that I've thought about prior- me and my wife used to always say that at the end of Texas Chainsaw the final girl doesn't really "survive," because she's so obviously negatively effected by what has just happened. The same could be said for the end of Friday The 13th.

I don't know what Stake Land is.

I'm also not sure what the "really Jumanji" comment is about, I must have missed something - but I think that new movie looks great personally. Great cast, too.

AND FINALLY, can someone tell me about Star Wars: Rebels? I always skipped that movie because I don't know, I wasn't all that interested in the animated SW stuff for whatever reason. But I'm wondering how cannon it is to the actual films, and how and where it'd fit it on the chronological timeline of the series? And like, SHOULD I watch it? Like really, does it add anything substantial to the cannon? (I had a couple friends tell me yes, but these are my friends who will see each of the movies like 6 times in the theater, so they may be biased...).

It's a vampire-heavy post-apocalyptic wasteland in middle America that's also overrun with white supremacist cults.

I literally came to post that same trailer link (on my clipboard now). Stake Land is definitely a different one. One of my buddies who only likes a few horror movies, that break the typical tropes, was very into it.

Reading on wiki, shocked the budget was only $625K. Knew it was an indie and distributed by IFC stateside, but man is it good for that budget. Below is news to me! Will have to look that up.
The producers, Glass Eye Pix, created seven webisodes as prequels set during the start of the apocalypse, to coincide with the release of the film.
There is no excuse why I haven't seen Stake Land 2. It's on Netflix! Might fix that this weekend.

And I've seen all 3 Urban Legend movies. I remember renting the original and sequel on VHS with my older sister. The second one isn't terrible if you liked the first... but steer clear of 3 (Bloody Mary).

I have not seen the Star Wars Rebels movie(s?), but I do dig the TV series. I get excited when my son wants to watch it. The story line takes place between E3 & E4. You're following a group of rebels (obviously) as the Empire hunts down the last remaining Jedi. If you have a cable, satellite, or IPTV sub, they have a lot of episode on the Disney Now app.

Well... I did get to watch another movie.

The Breed

Released: 2006
Rotten Tomatoes: 15% critics, 29% audience
IMDB: 5.1/10
Availability: Streaming FREE on Tubi TV

I should start by saying I rented this when it first came out in 2006 (whoa, 12 years ago, really?) and enjoyed it then. Perhaps I have some nostalgia glasses, but I think this one is fairly well executed for what it is. I also have always like Michelle Rodriguez and the strong characters she plays... with okay acting. Wes Craven is listed as an executive producer, but not sure how much he actually had to do with the film. It is rated R and while there are a few violent scenes, I think it would've been PG13 had it not been for 2 random F bombs dropping in one scene. It's like they were shooting for an R rating and had to throw that in.

This one is pretty simple... Cujo amped up. It's an island instead of a car. It's a group of man eating German Sheperds instead of a single dog. 20 something partying college students have to find a way off the island as they are being hunted. There is even a not so clever Cujo reference made in the film.

It is worth noting the dog work is very well done. It is the standout of the film. The dogs are freaking scary and never seem laughable. Kudos to the dog trainers and handlers.

This movie is not great, but if you're in the mood for a mindless, free (on Tubi app or website) teen scream meets Cujo flick. Check it out.

like most "Wes Craven presents..." movies, I'm pretty sure he just gave them some money. But I watched that one back in the day because I like Taryn Manning. I remember it being alright.

Funny about Bloody Mary, because I was going to say that I actually thought that one was pretty fun even if it's basically unrelated to the first two.

Yeah, I figured he sat in a board room and said... "Cujo on an island... with hot chicks? I approve." For the life of me, I can't recall what I know Taryn Manning from. I definitely recognize her from the time and the name though.

Don't recall exactly why, but yeah I didn't feel UL Bloody Mary at all. You're also making me realize I've watched some random horror movies 8)

Back to Zombie Halloween 2: Great point, the PTSD element is unique. I've only ever seen the director's cut. Maybe that is why I don't understand the hate. I wasn't aware it added that much. Sure, I agree it is absolutely uncomfortable to watch her go back through the ringer, this round with mental issues. It adds a level of realism most sequels & horror movies in general are lacking. The characters would be effed up. The lead actress and Danielle Harris really nail their roles portraying this and their interactions together. Ho1K Corpses & Devil's Rejects are difficult to watch due to the macabre and down right disturbing content. H2 is violent as all his movies are, but IMO it's hard to watch for more reasons that just that. H2 is the more artistic of the two. That said, I like his first Halloween remake/reboot better.

agreed. I like the first one MORE, but I probably think the second is the more interesting and maybe BETTER movie.

Devil's Rejects is my least fav, I think. I love House Of 1,000 - and actually I don't find that one disturbing or hard to watch. It just feels really campy and fun to me. I don't know. I've actually said that Lords Of Salem is my fav RZ movie, though. And that one is fucked up. But it's great. (I haven't seen 31 yet  )

Off the top of my head Taryn Manning has been in 8 Mile, and Hustle & Flow, and Orange Is The New Black to name just a few. I think she's a totally underrated actress. Always great. (Though I can't really remember The Breed now, I'm sure she was one of the better things about it haha).

31 is...ok. There are parts of it that I like, but as a whole there are a lot of sequences that don't feel like they're a part of anything or just feel so separate that it comes off disjointed. There is definitely the usual level of RZ's shock and gore, but I think his Halloween and Lords of Salem were better.
