What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It's out now on digital, and on Blu-ray next week (March 6th). So, you can remedy that soon.

The friend we are watching these with said this, along with the two Guardians films, is his favorite. So I've been looking forward to that one. I think what Guardians did that really hooked me (Aside from just being really good and having a great cast), was that everything was just new and fresh. Worlds I hadn't seen, characters that were new to me, all that.isiolia wrote:Thor Ragnarok is basically an honorary Guardians movie in my mind. Not that any of the characters are the same, mind you, but it's just similarly fun.
I may as well polish off the X-Men movies too, if I am only missing two of em. I enjoyed First Class, and both Deadpool and Logan were quite excellent.

The two Guardians films would be my favorite MCU entries honestly.
I'll def be seeing Ragnarok soon, then. I've been trying to be good about overspending lately, and the library has been a great resource for movies. I'll see if I can put a hold on it for when it hits BR.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I'm behind on the super hero movies... again
. Need to see:
X Men Apocalypse
Logan
Thor Ragnarok
Wonder Woman
Justice Leaugue
I think that covers them all I have left besides Black Panther which I'll see when it hits Google Play. I have Apocalypse on my media HDD, just haven't been motivated to watch it from what I've heard.
I did really enjoy The Amazing Spiderman & Guardians 2 which I watched in December. Looking forward to Ant Man 2 & Deadpool 2.

Jag, you mean Spider-Man Homecoming?
At any rate, from your list of unseen you REALLY need to rectify the Wonder Woman omission. Whoo boy, what a great movie.

I did mean Homecoming! Well... that reminds me I still haven't seen the 2 Amazing Spiderman movies either!!!
I keep hearing that about WW. On my "to stream/rent" watch list but surprisingly, Mrs Jago doesn't seem interested.

you're in good company.Jagosaurus wrote:Emma Stone is a favorite of mine.
I feel like the Amazing Spider-Man movies got some flack for whatever reason, but I liked them both. Emma Stones was really captivating as Gwen. And the chemistry felt real between she and Peter (for probably obvious reasons). I think Sam Raimi's movies were probably more 'fun,' but I felt like Garfield's take on Parker was a lot more inline with the comics as far as the angsty teen thing goes. In fairness, Tom Holland absolutely KILLS the role so there's no contest there. But I'll say that things handled in Amazing 2 directly from a couple of very key comic issues are done really well.
So yeah. They're good movies. Homecoming is way better. But Emma Stone <3

Like most young dudes, I was a big Spidey fan growing up. It's fun seeing my son enjoy the character now. Side note, the Spiderman show on Disney XD is actually well done. That said, surprised I haven't watched the 2 Amazing movies yet.
Yeah, after Superbad & Zombieland, I was sold on Emma Stone. A side bar on something I share in common with her:

Also, you need to see Logan. It’s pretty great.
.....
Last night, my wife and I watched Crank: High Voltage. It is deeply offensive, frequently surreal, and, to quote the AVClub, so over the top that the top “isn’t even visible.” Accordingly, I am not sure I want to attach my name to any sort of recommendation. (Regardless, the first one is better.). If you are curious, however, it is available for streaming on Amazon Prime.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
oh yeah - Logan is incredible.
And interesting anecdote.
And alright, here's my Emma Stone story... a few years back some friends and we were going to a farmer's market in Newport, RI one Sunday morning. And we're driving up there and one of my friends is like "oh I saw on Facebook that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were at the farmer's market yesterday." I'm like "woah, what??" and she said that apparently they had been in Newport for the summer or the week or whatever, and had been hitting up that farmer's market. So the whole time we were there I was like scanning the place for Emma Stone. My wife was like "Dude, calm down. She's not here." Haha.
for real. I generally will see anything she's in. Easy A is hilarious if you haven't watched that one.Jagosaurus wrote:Yeah, after Superbad & Zombieland,
