Have you checked out the three Blade Runner 2049-related shorts that were released before the film? The animated one is especially sweet.marurun wrote:I love how much Blade Runner influenced anime of the time. One of my favorite 80s anime, Bubblegum Crisis, paid lots of homage to Blade Runner. It was clear the creators and animators were big fans.

Awesome. I keep hearing great things about Butcher Bay. The HD port comes packaged with Dark Athena. I need to purchase the pair as it's fairly cheap on the 360.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Riddick is awesome. I love all the movies in that series and would love to see another one.
Also, Escape from Butcher Bay is a great first-person adventure game, and if you like the films, you really do owe it to yourself to play through it.
I can't put my finger on exactly why, but I dig the Riddick character.

Can't say I didn't have a hunch that this was all a pile of hooey, but I also went through all the ranges of confusion, happiness, skepticism, unbridled hope, and now depression and a tad of hostile anger.

I can't tell. Where you hoping this IS or ISN'T a movie? The teaser looks kinda terrible.NotLuke wrote:Nuts.NotLuke wrote:Not sure if this is a joke within a joke, but they are committed to the bit.

Totally agree with the Prof and I would go as far as to say that Escape from Butcher Bay is one of the best "tie-in" games ever made.Jagosaurus wrote:Awesome. Ant-Man. Rented it for 50 cents on my Birthday. I like the film but it's just a funnier Iron-Man 1.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

Not as good as Robocop 1, but interestingly, it seems like any time the phrase "Robocop 2" was mentioned everything went to shit. The Robocop 2 prototypes either malfunctioned or committed suicide and the one that worked... well, I'm not gonna spoil anything.

I didn't think Ant Man was anything like Iron Man other than being an origins story. I laughed harder in Ant Man than Guardians.
I need to re-watch all the RoboCops.
Well guys, I have the 5 movies below on my cloud DVR. Any recommendations or "stay aways" in there? Considering it's free (well, doesn't cost me anything more than our normal monthly PS Vue subscription Mrs Jago gets either way) versus a $2-$5 digital rental... think I might blow through all 5 next week
.
The Punisher (2004, R)
Homefront (2013, R)
Dracula Untold (2014, PG13)
Lucy (2014, R)
San Andreas (2015, PG13)
Almost certain I watched The Punisher around 2006 but only remember one scene.
Thoughts on those?

Add Stakeland 2 on Netflix to my free watch list above!

Okay... here we go
Hitman: Agent 47

I forgot I watched this. No joke... I literally forgot. That sums up this movie! If you see it on a movie channel give it a go for free at your own risk, but don't spend money on it, even a cheap digital rental.
Honestly, the first Hitman movie surprised me and is a guilty pleasure of mine. Timothy
Olyphant added a bit of swagger to the Agent 47 character. This actor (yes, too lazy to look up his name after) plays 47 much colder. This is more in line with the video game canon, but sure makes for a boring character to watch for 90 minutes.
This time around they explore the origins of the agent program a bit more. That's cool I guess. Watch this one only if you're a dedicated fan of the games or desperately looking for a mindless action film. The first movie is worth watching in my opinion, but steer clear of the sequel.
