My wife was in the room for one of the intense plot line parts and just started watching me play when she could. This was on my "ashamed I hadn't played" list until about 5 years ago. Man, I was missing out. More reason to dive into my list!
I am at least on the path to Phantasy Star IV. I own the game and I have played through Phantasy Star II. Once I beat III, then IV will be on my radar.
I enjoyed II, but it was really long and grinding. I have heard that IV is the best and that is my light at the end of the tunnel.

3 if definitely considered the black sheep. That art style and battle menus will be a tad jarring but under it all is Phantsy Star game. There are multiple paths and endings.
The same black & blue grid background in 2 makes battles get old quick. This adds to the grindy nature even more.
4 shines far above them all to me. Full disclosure, I haven't beaten 1 all the way through but I have played it.
If I have a "games you're ashamed you haven't beat list"... Phan Star 1 is on there.
I've never played Metal Gear Solid 3, which is quite something since I own it 3 times (PS2, PS3 and PS Vita).
*I also have never played Metal Gear Solid 4, but I don't own it.
Own: Sega Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Xbox 360
PC: Half Life 2. I still haven't beaten Half Life 1 yet, so when I get around to it I'll finally join the modern world of 2004
Arcade: Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. I've been more into beat em ups and never got around to trying out most of the great Capcom ones released in the 90s. Me and my friends always talk about how awful the show is too, so there's no excuse that we haven't tried out the game.
I have never played a Wizardry. I plan to eventually and don't really feel shame per se, but I feel lacking in a key area of RPG expertise as a result.
Yeah, I think Phantasy Star 1 looks amazing from a technical standpoint. Someday I'll finish it but I've beat the peak of the main series so I moved on to others in my to play list.

I was about to play the Wizardry title on PS2. I was pretty excited so I pulled up some gameplay footage and he died in the first random battle nope.
Well first i was going to name all the big nintendo franchises but this wasn't about beating games so that wont do (i have tried a lot of them but i have beaten barely any)
This is a tough one. It's hard to think of a game that i haven't at least tried......
Can't really think of any. There's of course tons of classis i haven't played even for a second but nothing that i'm really ashamed off not playing. I'm sure there's something but i cant think of anything right now.
