Games you are ashamed to not have played

Post by Jmustang1968 »

So, I was thinking of this the other day, but what are some games you are ashamed to say as a gamer that you haven't played. Not games unbeaten, but classics or otherwise big games in a favorite genre you havent touched.

Mine are:
-Half Life 1 & 2
-Castlevania 3
-Contra 3
-Grandia Series
-Lunar Series
-Majora's Mask
-Any Mega Man besides 2
-Persona Series
-Uncharted Series

I've dipped my toes in Panzer Dragoon on the Saturn but never got past the first stage. Always wanted to play through the first two on Saturn as well as Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Need to play more Saturn games in general.

You have been having a hard time finding a game to beat.... well beyond good and evil is right there waiting. Such a fun game!

It's not that I've been having a hard time finding a game to beat - it's more that being exhausted at the end of the school year and being on a Civilization kick for a week have made it a LONG process to beat the two games I've been playing. I do have Beyond Good and Evil sitting on my shelf, though; maybe the announcement of the sequel is the motivation that I needed to finally play it.

Average male life expectancy is 74... so I still have about 45 years to get to these

Fist, I'm a RPG fan with emulation methods available, I have no excuse for not playing these:
- Chrono Trigger
- Earthbound
- Tactics Ogre
- Ogre Battle
- Ogre Battle 64

Also:
- The Last of Us
- Okami
- Skies of Arcadia (been on my "to buy" list for about 15 years :P)

Games I won't drop the cash on but as a RPG fan, I'm a bit ashamed to have not played:
- Panzer Dragoon Saga
- Shining Force 3

Yeah... I will eventually get around to flashing my AR cart & burning those Saturn games... I have about 45 years hopefully to do that project 8) or wait on upcoming mods.

The big sin there is Chronotrigger, only because the game is 15 hours long. When an RPG is fun to play AND a decent length, it is a must play. This is coming from a guy who never finishes his jrpgs.

I know! My cousin has been telling me about it for 20 years !

I like knowing everything about a RPGs and really diving in. As soon as I beat it, I'll be looking up how to reach the other endings and starting over... yeah... I have a problem.

@Markie, Phantasy Star IV is one of my top 10 all time games. What a great one. One I was sad when it was over. My wife was in the room for one of the intense plot line parts and just started watching me play when she could. This was on my "ashamed I hadn't played" list until about 5 years ago. Man, I was missing out. More reason to dive into my list!

Man, there's a bunch of them. The mosr glaring offender is Minecraft. One of the most important games around and I haven't played a single second of it

There also a few that, technically speaking, I have played but so long ago so or for so little that I can't really say much about them like Metal Gear Solid, Shenmue or The Legend of Zelda.
Looking for a cool game? Find it in my blog!
