Tec Toy Sega Model 1 plastic stratch

Post by Benex »

I bought a Sega Genesis Model 1 Tec Toy version complete (only missing AV cable) yesterday with 6 games for a very cheap price. As you can see from the picture is kinda dirty and that's not a problem since I cleaned many before. It's working and it's original which it is all that matters to me. Now what it worries me it's the fact that it has a pretty bad scratch on the surface and I'm wondering if I can fix that. Have you tried a fix like that before? Recommendations to not ruin the plastic?

That has merit, I have done this for DVD cardboard liner boxes which works very well. A camouflage that won't remove the scratch or tear, but at least a lot less noticeable sitting on the shelf. Rub in the ink with finger while still damp immediately after marking inside the scratch to blend it in with the plastic.
