TMNT out of the Shadows. This film numbs my brain and hurts me physically. It's so..fucking...horrible. It's a good thing this movie flopped.
Get a new TMNT film series going without Bay. A good director, good writers..actual actors not swimsuit suit models and wrestlers and hacks. Use practical effects as much as possible. Get Kevin Clash back. Set it in the 1980s. (Hey new X-men was the 60s same as the comic so why not) Can still have all the classic villains tho. Also not a origin film. Oh and like the original a bit more adult.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
You know that's the scene that made me realize this film was a comedy. I was teetering on that thought esp with a young guy in hilariously bad old man makeup but that scene with Theron made me realize this film is a comedy and enjoyable for how funny it is.Xeogred wrote:Rewatched Prometheus. I like it more than Covenant. Charlize Theron's character is still one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen though. Thankfully she didn't know how to run sideways.

didn't you say you had already seen it? Why did you watch it again if you hate it so much?Segata wrote:TMNT out of the Shadows. This film numbs my brain and hurts me physically. It's so..fucking...horrible. It's a good thing this movie flopped.

To see if this time I could make it all the way through. I could not. I was literally getting sick to my stomach. Part of me tells me but it has Bebop and Rocksteady and krang! The thing I wanted in the films since the 80s. Then I realize I even made it though TMNT III so that film is somehow better than this when it had nothing going for it.noiseredux wrote:didn't you say you had already seen it? I had the idea to set a TMNT in modern day, but since they live in the sewers, all their exposure is from 1980s comics, movies, and tv. So when the come up, they talk like they're in the 80s.
I could not handle Michelangelo saying "Brah".
Also, there should be a movie called Baxter Stockman Vs. Rat King. With a giant miniature scale war between rats and mousers.

Wow, Mark Hamill taking multiple dumps on new Star Wars:
There is actor entitlement, but Mark has always seemed like a super genuine dude and I think a lot of us can agree the way the old characters were handled in TFA so far, was pretty terrible. So I can't blame him at all. He's been vocal against Episode 8. I think he regrets this badly.

Man, I finally watched Interstellar last night and my mind was blown. I'm a big fan of outter space and all the crazy physics theories with space travel. This was right up my alley.
I was a very adopter of streaming Netflix around 2006 but we got rid of the service around 2012 and recently reactivated it. I obviously missed Netflix coming into their own with their own prosuction efforts. I'm about 8 episodes into Daredevil, but will save that for the TV show thread
.
Below are the Netflix movies I plan to watch soon. I placed a "*" next those I'm very excited about. Any opinions on this list? Go check out the trailers if you haven't heard of these. I looked into a lot of Netflix hidden gems lists and most had these.
Netflix Original Movies:
- Spectral* (high budget Sci fi military action flick)
- Hush* (horror!)
- Harlock Space Pirate
- I Don't Feel at Home in this World Anymore
- The Fundamentals of Caring
Happen to be on Netflix:
- Tucker & Dale Versus Evil* (campy dark horror comedy)
- Centurion

I saw Interstellar is on Prime along with Ex Machina. Might check them both out soon.

Both of those are excellent movies. That'd be a good way to spend Memorial Day.
