I'm going to like this, but I agree about the balls. I've got enough.

I've got 3 Rhydons that can be powered up as well as my Golem because I should be reaching level 31 during this event. I've also got a Kabuto that could really use some candy, as well as an Omanyte. I've already got Aerodactyl but there is a possibility for Larvitars which I also need. Sudowoodos are already "un"common here but I see them all the time.

This event looks exciting. I'll be walking the heck out of my Dragonair, that's for sure.

I may just have to pay a bit more attention again other than to do a bit over the minimum for the dailies and stuff. This area here sucks hard core for rock type. I'll find a geodude pop up maybe once a month or closer to two. Out west on that vacation they popped up like it was a pidgey party going on and I got clear through graveler(2/3 of it) into a golem and enough to make another graveler if I cared. Onix show up about as often too, so anything that gets them popping I'm game.

I really wish they'd do a fire event as they've done a grassy like one and a water one too. Fire is a joke here, charmander a quarter, a smattering of ponyta, geodude level pop up of magmar, and slugma show up semi-often and that's it. Same could be said for electric type which just don't happen at all.

It's sad i've been at it since day one and still the same stuff I noted last year not being able to find from Gen1 I still can't get out of gen1 still and now the gen2 stuff is becoming obvious and it's a pretty petty annoying way it's setup too. Not everyone can travel.

It's too hot in Texas now for Pokémon Go ... wonder if they have more desert Pokémon here during summer .

I believe eventually all the types will have their own events, so don't be discouraged. Rocks aren't that easy to find here either. I guess I could say I'm in mainly a grassy biome with water types sprinkled throughout and of course more of them at the beaches around the Gulf here. Most of my rock (and fire) types originally came from eggs.

Speaking of eggs, I got my Donphan today after walking off the rest of the candy. What ugly moves it gets! Charge moves are limited to Counter (Fighting) and Tackle (Normal), and only Earthquake (Ground - STAB), Heavy Slam (Steel) and Play Rough (Fairy) for charge moves. The only thing it may be good at is Blisseys, like mine will be with Counter/Heavy Slam - one move is SE against Normal and the other move is SE against Fairy (EDIT: Blissey is Normal type only, but against Wigglytuff and Clefable I might find a use for it.) I loved it in the real Gen 2 game because I was a Sandslash fan in Gen 1.

I've made a correction to who my buddy is going to be. I figure my Chansey needs love, plus it's 44 candies to Blissey, which I sorely lack in my Team Valor cell phone group. Yes, I joined a local contingency of active Valoreans who play as often as me and update on gym conditions and good spawns. It's been very useful and I've been able to pass on advice from my experiences.

The majority here is grass, sprinkled in at an ok level some water, and a good bit of ground and bug types, oh and dark at least with overkill murkrow. Anything else is in the minority, some a gross minority that rarely pops.

Today I was surprised had some candy I didn't notice from another lame egg, and I got forettress and it has a really amazing rating on it too. Also surprised to catch my first local houndour which were like everywhere out west.

Forrettress - 1599 cp, 4000/3 to upgrade. Has bug bite and earthquake. Amazing-hp-attack-def-excellent.

Also evolved a new persian, best I've had, and it still by default in the game sucks. CP1137, 4500/4 to upgrade, feint attack and play rough. Amazing-hp-def-wow!

I'm one candy away from the evolution stone upgrade on gloom too. And 2 away for the evolution stone on poliwhirl as well. Mean tease, wish they'd pop up.

Forgot to mention I do have a really decent cyndaquil I'd like to evolve, but going to wait and see how that plays out as it's another fire one that pops up like just once or twice a month which were all over on vacation. Even did catch an evolved one of those there but it was garbage so I released it.

By the way is Militank more of a joke than anything serious? Got one out west, terrible CP at 404. Proud, HP-Atk and wow on it with junky tackle-stomp for attack. I keep it around for comedic value as it's my first and only.

Stat wise, Miltank is actually pretty decent in the real games. For a gen 2 pokemon it's got decent HP, good speed, solid defence and reasonable attack. I'd have to imagine it gets at least a decently high max CP in Go.

EDIT: looked it up, maxes about 2300. It's just ok.

Given where mine is at, I'll write it off as a lawn ornament as I don't see it being dust effective from around 400 to 2300.

Hang on to that Forretress. Mine has Bug Bite/Heavy Slam and I find it to be a good low level prestiger vs. Espeon. Earthquake might pay off pretty well for you somewhere along the line. Yours might be slightly better vs. Espeon because of Bug Bite being SE and then Earthquake and its still powerful base damage vs. the low HP Espeons have. Bug Bite doesn't do a whole lot of damage but it DOES charge the meter up fast and it's also a faster attack.

Miltank is -- interesting to say the least. Mine's got 1295 CP, Zen Headbutt/Gyro Ball, obviously different from its Normal typing. Amazing/HP at 15. I don't see using it anywhere, but it's just good to keep in the storage if for that comedy value.

Yeah right there, comedy value. Just tap it and listen (like a cross of a cow and sheep) and watch those odd udders wiggle in a menacing fashion. That alone makes it funny enough to keep.

Well, so far the event seems to be working out better than the grass one they did the other week. I've seen plenty of stuff show up already, including a Larvitar and an Onix.

I'm hoping for good things when I go out tomorrow. I could use some more rock-type candies that aren't Sudowoodo
