I've also got my fingers crossed for an SNES mini. The NES mini doesn't do a lot for me because most of those games I already own in one format or another - but SNES would probably have a lot of games I'm missing...

Fingers crossed. At this point, we don't even know how good the quality of NES mini will actually be and are just making presumptions based on Nintendo's (mostly solid) track record of emulation for the Virtual Console service. Sure hope it lives up to the expectations!

SNES mini would be fantastic, I reeeeeeally hope it's next. I'd be all over that, not to mention the benefits Wii compatible SNES controllers would give us!

3 turbo games popped up on WiiU for download according to Pat SNES Punk, so maybe it's gauging interest and performance, we maybe instore for a Turbo mini?
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

A portable PS2 that loaded ISOs would be amazing. I'd finally get around to a lot of the RPGs I haven't finished!

I know of Dracula X and Ys Book 1+2(I had it when I had a Wii), the other I think may have been Gates of Thunder. The stuff worked like a champ. Not the first time I emulated them on a Nintendo system with ISOs before as there's PCE Advance for GBA which worked great.

I'm interested to see the video output options.
- Stretched to 16:9 (likely)
- Option for 4:3 (maybe)
- Resolution? (720p or 1080i is my guess)
- Scanlines? (not holding my breath)

Also I heard somewhere (CU podcast maybe) it's not true save states but the ability to save at certain in game intervals such as end of level. Is that right?

Also, I agree we're not the intended market. I can set up several of my exisiting consoles, much less my PC or a Raspberry Pi, to emu NES. I own a NES N8 ROM cart. I have Virtual Console games. I have the original hardware. That's not the point. This is for those who haven't played Nintendo in years and walk into Target & see a stack of these:

"Wait, Nintendo!? Comes with 30 games and works on my flat screen TV. Nice. What it's the cost of one PS4 game!?" *Toss in buggie* ... multiple by 10 million+. Could this out sell the WiiU?

Could it outsell the WiiU? I'd imagine it would be more fun to start a betting pool on how many months it would do that. The WiiU has sold atrociously bad even if it's a good system it got hung out to dry horribly so.

I was in a JB HIFI this passing weekend and I spoke to the guy in the games department, who I shoot the shit with from time to time. They have sold out the first two runs of preorders on it. Out of interest I phoned a EB games, same deal.

That's encouraging and terrifying as I can see the winter of 2006 happening again with predatory twats buying up every damn thing in sight then charging $150-200 for honest people at Christmas. If you're not just one outlying example, there's a true and real chance it's going to be an ugly chrisNESmas. :( I'd rather not have one as long as it took the Wii to get fulfilled back then than give some turd even an extra $10 over retail.

I waited outside of a Wal Mart Christmas of 2006 to get a Wii. 7 hours in the damp, coastal Texas winter. Not sure I see that happening for the NES mini, maybe I'm wrong though. Now scalping.... that I see. I wasn't aware of any pre orders being available.
