Star Fox won't work, there's no Super FX support for SD2SNES yet. I don't know that it will ever be, I know ikari has said that it's going to be really tough to implement. There's a better chance of that happening than the SA-1, though.

Glad that Retro Trio is solid, though. I should consider picking one up, your reasoning on wear and tear is pretty good. :)

Thanks for the info! I read so many articles on it, forgot which "helper chips" it supported. I knew SA-1 wasn't happening. Kept my Super Mario RPG cart. StarFox was a childhood game so didn't sell it either. 2 games that interest me most on the incompatibly list below. I'm interested in Doom as a novelty but already own several ports.

I can recommend the Retro Trio. Don't pay the BIN ebay prices. Be patient & get it for under or around the original MSRP $70 on an auction. The everdrive ccompatibiltiy, region switch, & ability to use original controllers is awesome. While the S video is nice for Genesis & SNES, you'll likely experience checker boarding on NES games as it simply passing the signal through (noticeably on my TV). Solid overall, don't pay too much.

Took the kids out to a flea market, to game stores, and a used book store. They got books, toys, and Pokémon cards. I got a lot of $5 games:

H.E.R.O. (5200) - $5
Pitfall II (5200) - $5
Atari Anniversary (DC; CIB) - $5
Double Dragon (GB) - $8
Milon's Secret Castle (GB) - $5
Space Invaders '91 (GEN; CIB) - $12
Joshua (NES) - $12
Killer Loop (PS1; CIB) - $5
Akiba's Trip (PS3; CIB) - $15
Astonishia Story (PSP; CIB) - $5
Crazy Taxi Fare Wars (PSP; CIB) - $8
Guilty Gear Judgment (PSP; CIB) - $5
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (PSP; CIB) - $5
Virtual Hydlide (SATURN; CIB) - $27

Being able to ride around town randomly and find so much awesome stuff is why I can't focus on any one collection long enough to finish it off!

(Also, I am SUPER PUMPED about Virtual Hydlide!)

In all seriousness, I obtained the game earlier this year and was thrilled for two reasons:
1. It completed my collection of (North American) Saturn RPGs.
2. It rounded out my Hydlide collection (I own at least one version of all four games, yes I am one of those people insane enough to own part II).

I kind of wonder if, when T&E Soft closed its doors, they called everyone into a room and said: "You know what. We made some pretty damn good golf games. We should be proud of that. Our RPGs on the other hand...well...let's just remember the golf games!"

Blaze & Blade is the non-Hydlide T&E Soft RPG. Never played it, but it looks intriguing. Reviews are, uh, mixed as one might expect.

There was a really swell JRPG developer called Xtalsoft that merged with T&E Soft back in 1990. Extremely underrated games; the lack of localization didn't help surely.

Big time space saver. I researched that XRGB and it sounds great but way out of my price range.

Should probably add May.

I randomly decided to buy all of the games I didn't already own (which amounts to one  ) that were built using the Snowblind engine. I'm currently bidding on the last one, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, and that will be a collection complete.

It seemed like a fun set of games to acquire, they're mostly cheap, and I've meant to play many of them anyway. So what the hell, fast track it.

I'm also excited to have picked up Star Trek Elite Force, a game I've been wanting to try for a while. Hopefully I don't have issues running the damn thing on Win7. I hear stories going both ways on that front.

Nice fucking choice! Back in my day, I was one of the best EF1 players in the Trek gaming community. Granted, there weren't more than a couple hundred players max at that point, but still! Make sure you get the expansion pack if you can. Adds some sweet stuff.
