I know you're talking about the Jaguar, but I parsed that as that being a case on JAG and I think that would be much more awesome.

Thanks a lot noise, I ended up buying the other obscure Alien documentary DVD. This in addition to all the other supplemental discs including the one you mentioned picking up. A huge update just below your OP with pictures with additional information and an obscure book produced by the website links that I forgot to mention.

Oh does Vic-20 and Gameboy Heiankyo Alien games count? No maybe not, just in name only I guess. :D
I like the original over the remake, a different take on Loderunner style of game play.

EDIT: Holy crap I just looked it up. There are 6 volumes of Aliens Omnibus, 4 of Predator, 2 of AVP.

Semi-related - have any of you read that Archie Vs Predator graphic novel yet? I've had my eye on it since I first saw it while Christmas shopping and have been wondering if it's any good. (IE: is it actually funny? Is it mindful of the Predator source material?)
I'd start with the one I linked you and then go for the first Aliens book. The stories in that one set the stage for most stories in the alien universe subsequent to it. After that go nuts!

As for the Archie Vs Predator comic, I didn't read them.....the premise is just too much for me.

I'm hoping to have some time to play it tonight before we start that Alien Saga documentary. What's everyone else got planned?

True story: some years ago when I first met my sweetheart, she told me that she loves Aliens. She even bought a face hugger plushie from thinkgeek. She's clearly a keeper, but she had never seen the first movie. She didn't even realize that Aliens was the sequel to Alien. I brought the DVD of Alien up to her dorm room (purely for cinematic purposes of course - no ulterior motives or anything  ). We were cuddling on her bed watching the movie. I have seen Alien a million and one times so I knew what was going to happen next. During the famous chest burster scene I startled her with that face hugger plushie. I scared the bejesus out of that poor girl. Sometimes I wonder why she still loves me.

I got an 8 out of 10 on the quiz. I missed both of the questions involving prisoner names from Alien 3 *grumble*grumble*

In the first movie something has always baffled me. Is the Alien hibernating in the escape pod at the end? Why is it all of a sudden lethargic?

I love this universe. I like the overall feel of the first Alien movie better. The sirens going off still induce stress.

There is a part in The Great Movie Ride at Disney that is Alien themed with those sirens blaring. Great stuff.

The Predators movie a few years back really surprised me. I really enjoyed it.

I think that scene is mostly an excuse to show off Sigourney Weaver's teensy tiny panties.
