I can see that because then you're held accountable for how much cash you're throwing away on stuff. :)

I guess I'm happy that 2016 is about moderation and finishing more stuff for me. I did though not resist making a purchase as I saw Donkey Kong Land (1) for GB for $5 at the flea market so I grabbed it.

If I started cataloging my 2016 interest in buying G1 Transformers I don't think I'd be too amused with the output on them when you consider things like Optimus Prime, Jazz, Megatron, Starscream, and Jetfire(w/full armor) all being complete along with various others I've snapped up and some I've picked up new sticker sheets for too. Jazz and SS are both CIB too. I didn't pay going rate but other than Jazz nothing was a screaming deal either.

Oh, is that how it works here? Okay!

Hey Exhuminator, guess what? What damn it, I'm taking a piss over here. Try not to miss the bowl! Anyway, we bought some games today. We did? What did we buy? We bought some 3DS eShops games. Really, more of that shit? Aren't you tired of buying eShop games? Well, I mean, yeah, but, there's some good stuff on there for decent prices. Although Senran Kagura still costing $30 is fucking whack ass whack. Whatever man, so what did we buy? Oh, today we nabbed Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. Sweet! Now we have all three Shantae games on our 3DS XL. Anything else? Yeah man, we also acquired The Keep and Defenders of Oasis. Dungeon crawlin' and SRPG, keepin' it real. KEEPING IT REAL. Well I gotta say that's not a bad haul, but what'd it cost? Altogether Exhumer it was like $32 for all three. I mean, we'll probably get $32 of fun out of all that. I hope so! Because if we don't I'm holding myself personally responsible.

Oh, I forgot Defenders of Oasis was on VC. That's a great little RPG, actually!

That post was hilarious. I agree that Senran Kagura still priced at $30 is nuts, a nice sale on that game would be great, and the Shantae games are lots of fun. I really should grab the DSiware title at some point. I have the first game on my GB ED and the third on my Wii U. Having all three on my 3DS would be kind of nice though.

G1 Transformer toys are something else I miss from when I was a kid. I'm not going down the road of trying to buy those back though. Maybe if I ever found old He-Man toys for cheap I might go there though.

I started working odd jobs at 14, had a part time job from 15-17, and from 18 on have worked full time.

Anyway I've bought a lot of stuff this month but felt like it's not worth posting here anymore. I mean, what is the point of this thread really? I've posted two lists of games I bought this year, and nobody said anything about them. Waste of my time. It goes that way for nearly every list of games posted in this thread, so it's not just me.

Just seems this thread is pointless, other than the occasional brag post about buying some obscure and expensive relic.
I use this thread as a log to keep track of how much I'm spending on games. My trend over the last few years has been to spend more and more, to the point where I can see it's a problem.

I probably wouldn't have thought about it if I wasn't tracking in this thread.

I never "expect" a reply to anything I write here. Also, I don't respond to posts I do read unless I have something to say beyond "Heh, that's cool."

I did indeed read your last (list) post here Xumy. Was tempted to say "but where are the retro games, ya big fat loser!" but held back.

To me, this thread is a tracker & let's me know how much I'm spending and accumulating. I think the key is that it's fun to me. In a way, it's become part of my collecting. I'm a very number minded person so it makes sense and it adds to the hobby for me.

I also enjoy seeing others "taste" in certain genres, imports, obscure consoles, etc. I've actually learned a lot looking stuff up I've seen in this thread.

If it's not fun to you, sure I agree, focus your time and efforts in a different thread/area of the hobby. To each their own brotha.
