This thread has an awesome history for me:

2014: Watched The Descent. What a great horror film. I get claustrophobic thinking about it. Makes my top 5 horror list, no question.

2013: Played D on Saturn. Great Halloween game. My job (now previous career) at the time was extremely stressful. I sat down & zoned out. Those 2 hours made my Halloween.

A few pLans in the works. Updates to come for 2015. Bruce Campbell & Tales from the Crypt involved...

There is a movie I was previously unaware of titled MAY.

I'd say it is a must see for any fan of horror movies that border on the side of actual disturbing insanity.

Love a good slasher, but I've always preferred horror movies where you actually get to know the monster. You don't just get to know the monster in this movie, you feel like you are in the room with the monster up to the horrific end.

Two word review would be "Beautifully disturbing".

If I haven't sold you on watching this yet, four more words "girl on girl action".

Oh man, May is definitely one of my favorites. I like how the first hour of the movie basically makes you fall in love with how May is an awkward weirdo and then the movie TAKES A TURN FOR HORROR and becomes pretty gut-wrenching.

That's an even better two word review.

MAY is so good, and I had zero clue of its existence. So glad I stumbled upon it.

Holy crap, Evil Dead 2 is required viewing, perhaps moreso than the other movies in the trilogy. Hell, there are moments in Until Dawn that made me think of Ash from Evil Dead 2.

Also, with Ash vs the Evil Dead coming out on Starz, there's never been a better time to acquaint oneself with Evil Dead 2. They were playing it a few times on El Rey recently too.

I know! Figured that'd get a response from fans of the series. I just found that Evil Dead 2 VHS a couple months back at Goodwill. Looking forward to it! Not sure I'd understand much of it on El Rey lol :)

I really dig the 2003 TX Chainsaw reboot with Jessica Biel. How's TCM The Beginning from 2009 stack up against it?

I watched Tales from the Crypt as a kid. Interested to see if I recall any of these episodes as I start watching them.

Also, worth noting the following are coming on IFC if you get the channel:

Thursday 10/8 3am: ATM
Friday 10/9 5p: Nightmare on Elm Street Marathon (1-5)

ATM really surprised me. Watched it last year. Imagine a horror version of Phone Booth.

To comment on Noise's OP, I really dig House of Wax as well. I can't pinpoint why but it's a fun teen scream.

Seems like a relevant time to mention my favorite screen queen, Danielle Harris. Also reminds me I really need to watch the Hatchet series...

Just want to point out that El Rey is an English channel, I think a lot of people have the wrong idea about that network. It is for all intents and purposes, the Robert Rodriguez channel. Basically, reflects everything he is into with its programming. Tarantino no doubt would love 90% of the stuff on there too.
