Re: Your most wanted systems?
For me, I just enjoy collecting NTSC consoles. Even if I only have a few games for the system I'm happy. I want the original TurboGraphx. Man that'd be cool.

I've found great value in eBay listings when it's spelled that way.Soldier Blue wrote:I want the original TurboGraphx.

I love misspelled listings, and listing that say ''Video Game'' or just ''Sega Game'' only to see a $100 game or games going for $20Thierry Henry wrote:I've found great value in eBay listings when it's spelled that way.Soldier Blue wrote:I want the original TurboGraphx.

Possibly an Amiga, not sure. Otherwise, I have everything I want.
Re: Your most wanted systems?
I have almost all the systems I have any real interest in... there are only a few left which I have any interest in. It gets hard when you have 46 (not counting variants). In order of interest:
1. Xbox One-The only one left frankly that I can say 100% I will own at some point. Not until the price drops though, there are some cool games but nothing worth the current price when I already have a PS4. At some point though I'm sure I"ll buy one.
2. CD-i-I do want one of these but probably not enough to pay what they go for... one that I kind of hope I eventually just stumble on cheap in a thrift store. There's only a few games I truly want for it.
3. Jaguar CD-The last Atari system I need. I'd love to have one for that reason but have been somewhat scared off by a combination of price, the reputation for a lack of reliability, and the lack of games I really want. I'd want it mainly for the homebrew stuff.
4. Wonderswan-I think I'd get the Crystal. I don't generally do Japan only systems which is why this is so low (I have a PC Engine/CD but only have a couple of games for the PC Engine side. I have a TG16 and mostly get games for that. I mainly got it for the CD which is region free and so much cheaper than a US CD unit. I have picked up a couple of PCE games but only ones so far that also have a TG16 version, are far more expensive on TG16 and require no English). A friend of mine had one back in the early 2000s though and I remember thinking it was really cool. I'd likely get a Swan Crystal.
5. Bailey Astrocade-I love old school hardware like this and I think it looks like a cool system. I know much like my Channel F though that I'd likely almost never use it.
6. RCA Studio 2-Same thing as the Astrocade.
7. Neo Geo CD-I have a consolized MVS which I'm VERY happy with so this is an incredibly low priority. The only reason I'd want it is for the couple CD exclusives. It'd be cool if I found a great price on one but it's far from a priority.

Re: Your most wanted systems?
My current wants are a Master System (or Power Base Converter. Whichever I find cheapest first), a 360, a 32x, and a Saturn. But those last two are much lower on the priorities list than the other two. As much as I'd like them, there aren't many 32x games I'm interested in and the price point of the Saturn and most of the games I'd want sort of keeps me at a distance.
Really surprised to see so much interest in the CD-I. It's a neat little piece of history and I wish you all the best of luck with finding one locally, because the one I have is large and hefty and I'd hate to have to pay the shipping for that beast.

I guess the ones to shoot for would be the slimmed-down 400/500 series models.Michi wrote:Really surprised to see so much interest in the CD-I. 3DO FZ-10 (the top loader by Panasonic). Man... need to pull the trigger on this. Not terribly rare or expensive. Been putting it off for about 5 years.
Saw Jag CD listed by a few...
Look up Best Electronics (link below). Great folks. They offer refurbished JCDs at a fairly reasonable price with a 90 day warranty. Go that route rather than ebay due to reliability. I've been meaning to get one to enjoy the active Jag homebrew scene. Also be careful with Jaguar power supplies. NES will fit but fry the system.
