Mac Info ...

As an FYI to anyone running OSX, Sixtyforce (shareware, $16) had a recent update that really improved compatibility. And some games (like 1080) that won't run in Sixtyforce will run in Mupen64 (free). Here's what I can remember from my experience with the latest versions of both .... Games: Mario Go...

Saturn Notes ...

Saturn list missing a few titles ... won't affect your decision that much though. Agree with Playstation/Dreamcast/Saturn comments, but here's a little more info on Saturn options. FYI to anyone not interested in light gun games, site I'm linking to is a good resource for Sega console imports. By qu...

16-bit Options ...

Powerdrive , released near end of Genesis/Megadrive's life cycle, didn't get much attention but it's pretty good when you get used to controls ... isometric rally racing. One of the F-1 Circus games on Turbografx-16 is very good for an overhead 2D F-1 title ... F-1 Circus '92? Can't remember. Worth...

great list ... agree with: SFA2 over SFA3 ... not even a close call if you can find the SFA2 Collection for same price quibbles: I'd swap Choro Q Park for Manx TT ... Manx TT is pretty average (I might take Road Rash over Manx TT) I'd swap Puyo Puyo 2 for Puyo Puyo Sun ... maybe that's just me addit...

Definitely get either Greatest Nine '98 or Greatest Nine '98: Summer Action ... latter is still my favorite baseball game ... both are cheap. I prefer Victory Goal '97 but any of the Worldwide Soccer '97-'98 stuff is good. All the boxing games suck. The tennis games aren't much better but Tennis Are...

Curve Balls ...

Two of my favorite (cheap) Saturn titles: Choro Q Park ... the best overall Saturn racing game. More depth, more fun than its competitors. And I really like Rally and Daytona. Greatest Nine '98 Summer Action ... best baseball game I've ever played. Not really a simulation, but a lot of detail and si...

Another vote for the official Sega light gun ... accurate, reliable and cheap.

SMS - Phantasy Star and, um, Phantasy Star. Did I mention Phantasy Star? GG - Arena: Maze of Death (ambitious isometric shooter) Big Hurt Baseball (better than 16-bit version IMO) Chuck Rock 2 Crystal Warriors (tough strategy rpg) Defenders of Oasis Ristar Royal Stone (jp, nice graphics, strategy rp...
