Re: Deoxit cleaner and rejuvenator experiments
I keep a can of DeOxit that I use on cart pins I can't get clean with q-tips and alcohol alone. Spray the pins, let it sit for 30 minutes, and then rub off with a q-tip.

Re: The Super Mario Maker Thread
I finished up and uploaded this NSMBU course a short time ago. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

Re: Gamestop NOW Selling Retro Classics
Gamestop's prices are better than I was expecting honestly. The PUR 10% and CAG16 promo code (16% off preowned games) currently work for their retro game selection. If a game like Conker or Chrono Trigger ever comes back in stock, you could conceivably grab one for about $70 shipped. Not a bad price...

Re: Gamestop to begin taking credit/selling retro consoles/g
I bet you they have tons of PS2 games stored, why else would they want to buy any PS2 systems back. I agree with the GB/C games well anything Nintendo will have huge supply and demands so maybe they will roll that out too if things go as they plan with the launch test. I've heard that Gamestop is p...

Gamestop to begin taking credit/selling retro consoles/games
Last month Gamestop began accepting trade-ins on PS2 consoles. Today IGN is reporting that Gamestop is rolling out a pilot program to begin accepting trade-ins and selling retro consoles and games: "The systems and accessories that you will be able to trade-in and purchase include the NES, Supe...

Re: Absolutely Rose Street - unearthed 32X promo
Infomercials masquerading as TV shows seemed to be pretty popular in the early 90s. I remember seeing an Apple infomercial that played itself like a Wonder Years knockoff.

Re: Sega Genesis: RGB with 8 DIN Straight to BNC
IIRC the +5v pin is used by SCART cables to signal to the input RGB is being carried, otherwise the input defaults to the composite signal.

As a possible alternative to refurbishing your 72-pin or purchasing a top-loader, you could take a look at this Kickstarter project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/11 ... g-your-nes

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I stopped after work at a Savers and was shocked to find a stack of Odyssey2 games for sale. This is the first time I've ever seen Odyssey2 anything in the wild outside of retro stores and reseller booths. I picked up everything that was available for about $35 total. I know nothing about the Odysse...
