Re: Dual Shock 4
I used an SNES controller before and thought it was pretty much perfect. I really do want a wireless one though, and I might at some point try to get some PS1 emulation going, so I'd quite like to have analog sticks. Thanks for the SteelSeries link. However, the fact that this is more expensive than...

Dual Shock 4
I use ZSNES on my Mac, and sometimes Project64 as well. I have been looking for a decent PSX emulator, but its almost all SNES. I've heard the Dual Shock 4 works with Bluetooth, so I may well get one. I am concerned about the D-Pad though, can anyone comment on how well it works? Also, how about the...

Re: Anyone Collect or Still Listen to Vinyl?
I love vinyl, but don't buy a lot of new releases tbh. I'd love to support contemporary artists releasing their albums on vinyl, but I just don't have the money they want for it. I do buy classic records here and there. I like Jazz, Reggae, Hip-Hop and a number of other genres that traditionally cam...

Re: Walkthroughs: Yes or No?
It depends on the game, and my mood. In general, I prefer to make my way through a game by myself, because a lot of games make it appealing and rewarding to explore the world they're set in, but then others really don't. And when it comes to games, I will happily admit I'm not a very patient person....

Re: PS4 and next gen discussions
Question: Now that ps4 is on x86 , its more of a PC than a console I guess since it does so much more than play games, I am guessing the next xbox will do the same, how much different is it from just buying a PC and hooking it up to your HDTV ? The PC will be more capable since it will run ANY appl...

Re: Are people still collecting DVD's?
There was never a better time for buying DVDs. Literally everything is out on DVD, and the things are way below the $5 mark in charity shops and the like at this point. Kinda like VHS tapes when DVDs started to take over, except DVD is a digital format, easily ripped to the device of your choice.

Re: Looking for someone to mod my GameCube
I can definitely recommend the XenoGC, and it's quite cheap as well. However, many people have told me that it is very easy to install even if you have no previous experience with soldering. This last bit is quite untrue. However, if you have soldered before, I'm confident you will have no problem i...

Re: Realistic gore/violence in contemporary games
I've always thought gore in video games was completely fine since the depictions were wildly unrealistic due to the graphical limitations of past consoles. Since modern machines are more powerful and capable of more realistic displays of extreme violence, I've changed my view somewhat. Then again, t...
