Power Stone Collection Announced for PSP

Power Stone is one of those great Dreamcast series that I’m surprised that have gone this long without a port to a newer system. But now, Capcom has announced the Power Stone Collection for Sony’s PSP. It will include the following features

  • Ports of both Power Stone and Power Stone 2
  • Four new characters in Power Stone
  • Improved interface
  • New adventure mode and mini games
  • Supports for Adhoc wireless mulitplayer battles with just one copy of the game

It will be released in both Japan and the US in 2006.

In case you aren’t familiar with the Power Stone series, its a great 3D arena fighting game in which you could pick up and fight with things like tables, chairs, rocks, bombs and other objects. During battle, “Power Stones” would appear in the arena and if a character collected three Power Stones, they would transform into a more powerful version of themselves. It’s probably Capcom’s best 3D fighter ever (although most of their others aren’t that good).
