Gradius Collection on PSP

The Sony PSP is finally getting some good Shmup lovin’ — at least in Japan. No word on a release anywhere else, but Gradius Portable will be a compilation of Gradius I, II, II, IV and Gradius Gaiden. That’s not a bad lineup at all — especially when you consider the formerly PSX-exclusive Gaiden.

Options in the portable compilation include saving states by pausing the game, toggling slowdown, playing in widescreen, and restarting from any previous save made. A movie gallery for PlayStation extras in the past is also planned along with a music gallery featuring all of the soundtracks soundtracks.

Rumors are also saying that a similar PS3 compilations is in the works as well.
