I'm borrowing this game from a friend... has anyone else played this game for the Wii?
I feel as if I am button massing... or remote swinging randomly without knowing what I am doing.
The control scheme for the Wii sucks, I wish I could use my classic controller.
For those who played it: does it get better? will I ever really have control of my characters?

I mostly just use the standard attacks with the occasional super power. I haven't had too much trouble. I do wish it were compatible with the gamecube controller, though.SpaceBooger wrote:I'm borrowing this game from a friend... has anyone else played this game for the Wii?

Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...

I got this for wii the christmas right after wii came out. I was excited about getting it, after liking the x-men legends games on PS2. I played it for about a half hour and then sold it for like 20 bucks. I am thinking about picking it up for ps2 or ps3 and givng it another try, because i did like its predecessors. just could not get into the wii's controls for the game.

I cant seem to get into the controls either. I am playing it on easy to get used to the game but is seems that as long as I am flailing my arms around in any/every direction I keep winning... maybe I will have to restart on a harder level to fully understand the controls... my fear is that if I do - Ill only keep dying from flailing my arms around and still not fully master the controls.

Re: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
This is a good example of how not to port games to the Wii.
Re: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
yeah, I also tried it when it came out. I found the controls to be difficult. No where as easy as X-Men Legends. Anyone play one of the other versions? I see the 360 version for cheap and have thought about picking it up.

What exactly are you doing? I'm doing okay, and I almost never use the motion controls. Just use A to attack, B to choose your powers.SpaceBooger wrote:I cant seem to get into the controls either. Re: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Well there is 4 different types of attacks done by swinging the remote... I may try using just the A button, but wouldn't that limit me to 1/4 the attacks?zarathstra wrote:What exactly are you doing? The standard attack has worked just fine for me so far. ::shrug:: Its not like its any slower than the other ones or anything. You can also do jumping attacks without the motion controls.SpaceBooger wrote:Well there is 4 different types of attacks done by swinging the remote... I've been slowly playing through the 360 version for a long time now. I like it but it's not quite as good as X-Men Legends was on he original Xbox. I could never play it with motion controls standing in for button presses.schi0249 wrote:yeah, I also tried it when it came out. I found the controls to be difficult.
