So about a month back I got a biverted DMG for cheap on Ebay. As suspected for the price not everything was perfect. While it was functional and the backlight worked the biversion was displaying an inverted image (dark where light shades should be and vice versa). I read up on this and it seemed like it might just be a case of rotating the polarising sheet 90 degrees. I sent off for a special tri wing screwdriver and today took it apart and tried this. While the polarising film changed colour from dark to transparent when rotated in front of the screen as shown in multiple videos this didn't change the inversion. All that happened was that the image got slightly darker.
I'm attaching some photos of everything to see if anyone can figure out the issue here. As far as I can see the silver layer has been removed from behind the screen and while there is something still there I'm presuming that is the LCD itself (sorry, I'm far from an expert at this and wouldn't have had a clue about how to bivert it myself). There is a bivert chip installed as pictured.
I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions as to what the problem might be and how I can correct it to display the image correctly.
