I noticed it has been delayed years now which is just pathetic, even if it's a small team but I've eyed this and waited because I'd love to have a real copy of the game.
That said I had no idea this was eeked out recently on GoG.com for $15, and for the next few days it's 50% off at 7.50.
Has this even been on sale this cheaply before? Any history I can dig up between steam and sony of all things says no, usually 25-33%(psn+psplus discount) is the most.
I understand the game is like maybe 50 hours which is a bit long but it looks like it would be fun, reviews seem to be mixed towards positive but some calling the battles on it tedious along with some of the elements of the story (more as you go deeper.) Anyone here take a crack at this one before or finish it?
Pier Solar PC -- Any word on the physical release, also GoG
Re: Pier Solar PC -- Any word on the physical release, also
Last Kickstarter update email was mid December, but it didn't give a solid date, just mention of manufacturing the packing materials and getting the disc master done. They mentioned adding an encounter rate slider and some other tuning to make combat less tedious, among other things, that the physical PC and DC versions would be the first to get (but would be pushed out to digital too).
Re: Pier Solar PC -- Any word on the physical release, also
I have the Genesis cart, but as mentioned, I've heard rumors that they're addressing a few of the complaints about that release. I haven't seen anyone mention the inventory system yet in the new reviews for the eShop and whatnot, so maybe that's already fixed.
Anyway, I wrote about this for GameSpite Journal vol. 12, so here's a link to some verbiage of perhaps questionable quality.

Interesting, I'll read your questionable link.
As to them making corrections, that's nice. I imagine as it is with GoG, Steam, and consoles too, if they do an update, they'll upload the upgrade to those sites as well for paying customers as I can't see them or their file hosts hosing their customers.
I take it that $7.50 price is a good deal as I can't find a history of a cut that deep before.

Thanks for the link. Seems the PC (real) version of the game is a long way out looking at how they handle/mishandle their news updates and progress of things. I imagine just buying digital would be good enough and if someone were to love the game that much whatever year they decide to get the PC/DC versions out one could scoop it up to show support. I could not see giving them any money in advance and wonder if it'll take years to get your product though as some have already as I saw a lot of threads/posts around about canceling preorders on various sites including their own.

It's already taken years to get our physical product so at this point, I'm resigned to it at least having the bugs worked out and having some enhancements.
Re: Pier Solar PC -- Any word on the physical release, also
Well what I did dig up online was that they've worked out bugs, and those bugs will be fixed on the PC/DC discs, and then they'll after the fact roll them out to the existing customers basically leaving the players now hung out to dry until they get their act together which is a bit annoying.

Where's my potato salad? If it gets sent now it'll still be edible when it arrives.

Your potato salad is probably right wherever the watermelon is. You'll get years worth of spread out random reports of where and when to find it, to only find more clues and still get hungrier for it by the day.
