you could buy the fake NES cart that Capcom made as a promo. It's probably a ton of money though.

lol i think i could probably hire a programmer to remake megaman 9 and 10 from scratch for the nes for less then it would cost to buy the mega man press release game

Re: mega man 9 and 10 reproduction cart
Probably is. Mine is still sealed because it's too awesome to unwrap. They even put a series of price stickers on the shrinkwrap.noiseredux wrote:you could buy the fake NES cart that Capcom made as a promo. It's probably a ton of money though.

Easy way to spot they don't run on original NES hardware: No flickering.
Also, how come you have them? =D

come to think of it, why HASN'T someone rom hacked mega man 2 or something to turn it into megaman 9?
Re: mega man 9 and 10 reproduction cart
The sprites flicker though, don't they? I remember reading about how they designed the game so it'll feel exactly like a NES game, with sprites flickering at times. I haven't played it since it came out though, so I don't exactly remember.General_Norris wrote:Easy way to spot they don't run on original NES hardware: No flickering.
That probably will happen eventually.AppleQueso wrote:come to think of it, why HASN'T someone rom hacked mega man 2 or something to turn it into megaman 9?

You can turn flicker on and off in 9, in the game it's referred to as "Legacy Mode". 10 does not have this option if I remember correctly, so it has no flicker.Ziggy587 wrote:The sprites flicker though, don't they?
