Summary
Metroid Prime is a sci-fi first person shooter released for GameCube in 2002, 8 years after the last game. Metroid Prime let's you become Samus Aran, and, from what I understand, she is fighting space pirates and stopping them from doing Biological experiments on Tallon IV. I love the story line and it deserves a 8/10 for a compelling storyline that keeps you into the game.

Gameplay
One of the best things about Metroid Prime is the Gameplay, you get very large, open environments that make you feel like there's plenty of space, this makes it perfect for the shooting part of the game, which I have to say is one of the most fun I've had on any first person shooter. The controls are somewhat hard to get used to if you play mostly XBox first person shooters, but the lock on feature is amazing. Not too easy, not too hard with fitting controls. One other great part of the gameplay is tall the add-ons, they make the game very fast-paced, and you never feel you only need 1 gun the entire game.
For doing such a great job, I'll give Gameplay a 9/10, due to the fact the controls are close to perfect, but they didn't get some parts right.
Graphics
The graphics really do fit the game. The way it looks is really good for GameCube, it includes a lot of levels that are always different and beautiful. The design is also really good for them and the way things look really fit the futuristic, action-y part of the game. For being a little bit above average, I'll give it an 8/10

Music
All I can say about the sound and music is beautiful, I really like it, but sometimes there isn't very loud music, but I think the sound makes up for it, the sound effects are perfect, and so is the music, it may seem I go easy on music, but for not being a music game it REALLY deserves a 10/10
Overall
If you have a GameCube, I highly recommend you pick this classic up. Especially if you like first person shooters. This game is also very cheap, but it's WAY better than what it's worth. I'll give this game a 9/10 for doing an amazing job with gameplay and music, with graphics that are a little bit higher than usual.
