obviously most of that stuff is easily available in physical form, but there's quite a few imports up there that would be much cheaper on PSN. And what's Irem Arcade Classics?

Yes. Apparently it's difficult to get a physical copy of, but frankly I don't see much reason to try.

Of those, I only have R-Type Delta on PSN, but I had hoped to get another PS3 at some point, strictly for online use and new releases. Would have liked to re-download the game at that point, but I guess that's not an option (I may just give up that notion and never have another online account for a console again).
I'm getting more and more jaded about how DLC is handled. And while I used to discourage piracy, I feel it's much more of a gray area nowadays. A game either has limited availability in physical form, or an uncertain future in digital.
Also, if I payed for a game once, I can't say I'd feel bad tracking down an iso for it later on. What incentive does a gamer (like me) have to buy a game if there's no long term security anyways?
This is all assuming that the downloads disappear even for the people would bought it. If R-Type Delta is still there for me later, I have a slightly better opinion (but still annoyed).
...just another lost soul...

I'm fairly certain you can still re-download a game you paid for even after it's been pulled? That was discussed in the Turtles in Time Reshelled thread.

As long as you bought it before it was pulled, you will be able to re-download it at will. In fact, you could download it a couple of times a day just to stick it to the man if you wanted to ...
... remember when GOG pretended to shut down? When they came back on, I downloaded everything I own there. Three times. Yeah. That'll show them. I also never spent another dime there either. That'll probably show them more.

y'know what I really like? PSN games that are PS3 and PSP compatable. There's kind of this nice value in the fact that I buy one game but can download it to three consoles.
