Anyway, it seems that an Architecture student from the Philippines "beat" Sim City, by achieving the highest sustainable population density over a long period of time, by creating a totalitarian city-state in the shape of the Buddhist "Wheel of Life". Weird.
Six million sim-citizens and zero roads. This does not qualify as "beating" the game. He simply focused on one goal--maintaining a high population--at the expense of other goals like education, health care, public safety, approval ratings or any of the dozen other goals in Sim City.
Damn, I wonder how well that city would work in real life?
