My wife had wanted one for years. Two years ago my mom bought one for her and since then, it's been on for probably 5 days. Complete waste.

That or they are too lazy to change which pictures are shown.

Now Im not one of those crazy save the environment people. But those just seems like a complete waste of electricity. I like old school picture albums.

Speaking of those blacklit displays, I reckon they'd cost less to maintain than a real fishtank. A 3D display with a fishtank screensaver would probably be more cost efficient than the real deal, when the technology becomes mainstream that is.

They're not that bad... You can put slideshows of many pictures on them depending on how much space is on them. It's like a picture frame that automatically shows a bunch of photos instead of one.
