I've been playing Devil's Crush lately too. :) We should trade high scores.

I've only done about 5 runs, 2.81 million was my highest - cleared a couple boards of the monks up top.

The flippers are just a tad more separate here vs. Alien Crush and with no way to tilt, you can be at the whim of a bad bounce quite easily.

Aight, 8.51 million with no multiplier in the run either. Cleared a couple bonus stages I got thrown in early.

Just doubled checked & Rule of Rose and Haunting Ground are both compatibility with Open PS2 Loader (OPL) and loading from the HDD. If you want to play them only for the cost of modding the console.

Not going to lie, the last time I looked into Rule of Rose... it actually doesn't look that fun haha. But yeah, Haunting Ground looks incredible.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition (PS4)

I'm (I think) five chapters into my first walking simulation. The ambiance and music have kept me engaged - I don't blame the game per se for me falling asleep and walking into walls and losing my orientation - I've been playing very late and after about 20 minutes of that setting I'm nodding off. I'm motivated to see what's next and hear the whole story (come on spooky) so a positive here so far.

If anyone wants a great game that is more recent to play, I recommend Murdered: Soul Suspect. Noir dialogue and echoes of Salem Witch Trials; I quite enjoyed it.

I fired up Half-Life last night, which is like putting on a well-worn favorite sweater. The weird thing was that after 30 mins or so I got to this part where every time it'd load the next section, I'd be frozen. An odd glitch and I'm not sure what's up. So then I just decided to start up the Source port instead, which I actually think looks really nice.

Also, I've had F13 pre-ordered for months. But I wish that we'd get a solid release date. The devs have said October for a while, but no actual date. And the Steam page just lists "Fall 2016"... if they would just confirm it was delayed til January or something, I'd probably grab Dead By Daylight to play for now. But I'd hate to grab that and have F13 surprise release next week, as they are kind of similar games.

I gotta level with y'all. I already like Castlevania II more than the first game. It doesn't feel "cheaply" difficult and the music is absolutely savage! Only problem is the nonlinearity. I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Time to dig out the NES Game Atlas.
