I have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem that ISP sent me, im just too lazy to hook it up and call them to activate it.

It is limited by my Wifi connection, when running through a Ethernet cable I sit 100/40mb all day long. Shame I am moving in the next few months.

You guys using WiFi or hard line/LAN?
Hard wired into my switch is nearly double speed due to my 5 yr old WAP lol causes a bottle neck but fine for surfing the web.
I'm at 40 Mbps down & 15 up IIRC. I pay for "up to 50"

Are you lucky enough to have the fabled fibre? Or is that at a workplace or uni?

Yeah I am on 100mbps/40mbps NBN (fire optic).

As I said, I am moving to a new two story place a few blocks from where I live, but it is outside the NBN zone, so I will be back to 5mbps downloads pretty soon.

Hard whenever possible. I'm still maintaining well over 100 down with wireless just about anywhere in my home. YMMV, obviously. Fios up speeds are awful enticing, but Comcrap is giving me a fair deal...for now.
