I can identify with his pain. Also, it's not to be taken seriously. It's more like a parody of the behaviour which I just mentioned.
The other thing I like is seeing his room. All those games and posters. It just gives the impression that he's like me - he loves games. Like, if we had to we could hang out all day just talking about games.
I just love seeing his exasperation after plugging in an old piece of shit game - because it's a feeling I know as well.
The only thing I wish he'd change would be to play fewer licensed games - everyone knows they're going to be shit. I like it better when he digs out "actual game" games that at first glance could be okay, and then exposes them.
For example, instead of reviewing things like Fester's Quest, Wizard of Oz and Batman, do more Mario is Missing and Deadly Towers. Also, the console specific ones like Sega CD, Virtual Boy and Jaguar are pretty good.
