How is your Saturn gaming going?

After all this time and only now have I gotten a light-gun for the Saturn.
Any suggestions as to which compatible games are worth purchasing?

Alright guys, just received the import of Rayearth for the Saturn in the mail. And for a little Romaji, I do believe it is Mahou kishi Rayearth time.

Great game! I almost imported it, but bit the bullet and chose domestic instead. Played through it last year and enjoyed it immensely.

Anyone ever play Linkle Liver Story? It appears to be another Zelda-ish/action-RPG game. I've had my eye on it for some time.

I've been meaning to import House of the Dead for a few years now ($20 compared to $100+ for a US copy).

The Virtua Cop games are great. Area 51 is a classic.

Crypt Killer also looks awesome although I've never played it.

So, is it generally accepted that import RPGs for the Saturn are strictly for collecting? It pains me to see copies of Shining Wisdom and Shining The Holy Ark for under $10, yet I cant enjoy them cause they're entirely in Japanese. =/

On a side note, does Dracula X require a strong understanding of Japanese to play? Not too interested in the story, just wanna play through the game as Richter and Maria.

Many of the item names are in Japanese, so you may have trouble figuring out what weapon you just got. While the game is graphically weaker than the PSX version, it hold up musically and actually has some gameplay improvements, like a double-tap run and better hit detection on the dive kick.

If you're looking for sheer quantity, then buying a lot like that may be somewhat of a good idea, but I personally wouldn't advise it, especially since the overall majority of the games will be almost entirely in Japanese. When I originally picked up my Japanese Saturn, I got it in a bundle of about 60 games for $300. I lucked out a bit because it came with some worthwhile games like Layer Section, Clockwork Knight, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, Nights, a few of the classic racers, etc. But I was also left with about 20-30 games that I probably won't play (soccer RPGs, mahjong, RPGs).

Also, when you buy the lots on eBay, you're typically picking up a bunch of the non language friendly $5-$10 commons that are bundled because they don't sell well individually. Also the shipping is a bit harsh. I think you'd be better off bidding on a 100+ Saturn lot from Yamatoku on eBay then one of the buy it nows. I'd say you'd want at least half of the games to be games you'd want to play. Again, this all just my viewpoint on the matter

No, it's pretty easy. You just open up that door in the back of the Saturn and pop the old battery out and put the new one in. There's no soldering required like the Dreamcast battery.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is a totally unbalanced fighting game. Bad graphics and gimmicky. But my brother and I can't put it down lol.
